The starters were creative and exceptional. The meals were cleverly presented and filling. The salads and entrees were unique and delicious and we tried the fish and chicken and vegetarian entrees. Our crew of 8 had a great time all around. Don't miss out on the desserts too.

Having seen Ming Tsai on a few cooking shows, I expected a more refined style than what we received. Also coming from Asia, where east/west style of cuisine has been refined to a very high standard, I was alittle disappointed at what was offered. The food in general was good but certainly not excellent in comparison - frankly nothing special.... More

Ming Tsai is closing his cornerstone restaurant in a few short weeks. So sad. What a loss. The menu is slightly condensed now but the quality is still exceptional. Leave room for the chocolate sesame mochi donuts with Thai tea glacé (picture attached), or the guava-strawberry oat tart.

Good Asian food and tasty cocktails. However, the bar menu is average and generic - totally different than the restaurant's menu. Quite expensive.

Unfortunately, one of the last reviews for this superb restaurant since it is closing its doors. The egg rolls are wonderful with a zesty sauce. Nice bread basket. Sea scallops seared perfectly. Rack of lamb cooked to order. Wonderul accompaniments with variety of beans.ww

Everything was delicious. The appetizers were amazing and the dinners were delicious, well presented and perfectly paired. The service was outstanding as well. I will definitely go back. All this great food and service was reasonably priced, too!

Ming Tsai's spot has been our go to place for many celebrations over the years, but we were recently there with friends and I felt I wanted to finally write a review. Go here before they close! Everything is amazing! My husband & I shared the tuna poke and the shiitake spring rolls...all yummy! For our main dishes I had... More

After nearly twenty years, Blue Ginger will be closing in early June. If you haven't been there yet, GO! Blue Ginger was Boston's first truly top-notch suburban restaurant, with a celebrity chef (Ming Tsai) onsite and cooking in the open kitchen. Inventive, unique and delicious Asian-influenced cuisine, outstanding service, great wines, and creative cocktails, all served in a beautiful dining... More

Saw in the paper that Blue Ginger is closing in early June so it was a no-brainer that we were going there for dinner last night. We really like the bar options (more casual, lower prices, great service) so we got one of the corner nooks and ordered 4 items (shumai, potstickers, sweet potato fries and sliders) and dessert (semifredo).... Finally made it to Blue Ginger, and was very excited to try the Butterfish (Sablefish), which did not disappoint. The fish is tender, tasty and melts in your mouth. While, this is a luxury plate at $41, the portion was much larger than say at Nobu. My wife enjoyed the lobster dinner, which is beautifully plated. It seems that the... More

Description
Blue Ginger, located in Wellesley, brings urban dining and sophistication to the suburbs. In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, Blue Ginger expanded with a Rockwell Group-designed renovation, creating a chic, feng-shui inspired space with three distinct dining options. Enhancements include an updated main dining room in which to savor Ming's signature East-West cuisine, three private dining rooms, and the new Lounge at Blue Ginger, complete with cozy banquettes and a 10-stool granite bar. An Asian Tapas menu is served in the Lounge, featuring casual, shareable dishes like "Ming's Bings," Ming's East-West take on the burger. "Blue Ginger is unusual, not only because of the food or the room, but because it's a neighborhood restaurant of a type not found too often in the Boston area...those of us who live farther away will just have to travel now that the secret is out." --The Boston Globe
