    The roots to this Cape Cod landmark trace their origins back to the old country and follow a route through Canada before settling in along Route 28. The Yarmouth House Restaurant was founded in 1978 by the Kounadis family patriarch, Gerry Kounadis. Born in Kefalonia, Greece, Gerry immigrated to Canada with his lovely wife, Vasiliki, in 1951. There, he operated a very successful diner in Montreal for over 35 years. His dream was to expand and open another restaurant in the United States. In 1978 he founded The Yarmouth House and he knew he had found a diamond in the rough. He brought with him his three children to help run the restaurant.     Fantastic food & service!

    No wonder this place has been in operation for so many years! They do it right! The Scallops Casino was absolutely divine! We had two other couples with us and everyone enjoyed their entrees. Our server Tim was very attentive.

    If, in doubt on where to go for dinner, it’s a good backup. My husband and I go at least once a month. They have a good standard menu and prices are reasonable. Also, they have early bird specials. Great cappuccino.

    old but not old fashioned

    Recently had dinner with a very old gift certificate.They have a new early dinner special that was very reasonable. Food was delicious and service was perfect. So pretty too. We will be back!

    Wonderful meal

    We all had the prime rib and it was delicious! Cooked to perfection, just as each of us ordered. Wait staff is excellent and very helpful. Drinks were large and very good. Totally recommend this restaurant.

    Ambiance and great food together.

    Everything you could want in a wonderful restaurant. Incredible service. A relaxed yet pampered atmosphere. Delicious food in a generous serving. Good prices. You have to visit this place for a great meal.
