There were five of us for dinner. The waitress was wonderful, the food was good but a bit expensive. The major fault was NOISE. We could not hear each other across the table we had to speak into our neighbor's ear to be heard. It...More

Interesting menu with good service. The menu changes so there is frequently something new. There is very little turnover of staff so they develop relationships with their patrons.

What a hidden gem. The staff could not be any friendlier or professional, we had Abhi as our waiter and he was amazing. The owner is a wonderful somalier as well and directed us to a great bottle of wine. The food and ambience are...More

Service was divine. Our server knew the menu in detail and her enthusiasm for the chef and his work permeated her descriptions. My lamb was outstanding. Wish I were going to be back in Birmingham some time soon. It would be my first stop. And...More

From the moment you make your reservation, you come in, order, presentation of the food and the taste over all!! is a wonderful experience. The environment is very nice and makes you want to come again over and over. I would totally recommend this place.

My boss and I went her for dinner after reading many positive reviews of this place. I'm always interested in trying wine bars/restaurants. Tallulah has a nice but pricey selection of wines by the glass in various sized pours as well as a broader bottle...More

We've enjoyed a visit to Tallulah numerous times now: we love food, the service, the wine. The menu is original and does not carry what everyone else feels is the fashionable dish of the season (like "kale"-sth for a while, or the "charred octopus"). It...More

Description
"Elegant in its simplicity, Tallulah Wine Bar & Bistro offers an uncluttered setting that matches its concise menu of fresh, contemporary American fare and an eclectic wine list." -Molly Abraham the concept behind tallulah was born out of a love for wine, food and friends. The idea was to offer our guests a unique, comfortable experience, something reminiscent of that special dinner party at a favorite friend's house. We wanted to create a dining experience not just for our community but for ourselves. At tallulah, we have created a menu reflecting our commitment to simple, elegant, seasonal food - our farm to table approach. Reaching beyond the normal standards, we choose purveyors who encourage a growing trend toward healthier and environmentally responsible living by practicing sustainable, all natural, and/or organic farming practices. We're proud to offer an approachable, exceptional, diverse selection of wines. Our goal is to help you find the perfect wine to suit your individual palate. We try not to limit ourselves to particular areas or varietals, rather we seek a balance of old world and new world producers, appellations, and styles offering the traditional and the avant garde. Our wine and food program is about making you, our guest, happy. Our staff shares our excitement for what the pairing of great wine and food can bring. Whether it's a classic or off-beat pairing, we're always happy to talk about our food and our wine.
