The Cedar Tavern isn't much to look at from the outside but don't let that stop you. The food is really good and priced reasonably. The staff are always friendly and good at their jobs. One of my favorite lunch spots.

Friends told us to go here. It was taco Tuesday - good food. A standard north mi bar. Very friendly service. Many options on the menu.

After setting up camp went back into town for late lunch and glad we picked this place. A good, old fashioned tavern. Friendly staff and the whitefish sandwich we great.

The owner even recognized our family from last year! The baked potato pizza was EVEN BETTER than last time. I just wish we lived close, I'd eat that once a week. SO so so delicious! The kids love it too. This is a dive you must visit!

The dude from Ohio below this review, reviewed the wrong establishment. He reviewed Big Cat Brewing & NOT the Cedar Tavern. The Cedar Tavern does not charge for splitting a meal, they have 10 ice cold beers on tap with many more in bottles, and the food is great.

Great outside seating area. Was filled so we sat inside. Beers ok. Nothing too spectacular. Food fine. Again nothing spectacular. $3 fee to split a meal.

We ate at some other artsy fartsy place in Cedar that was way too overpriced and then someone told us about this place. I was blown away! That PIZZA though MMMMM. We had a few different pies but the baked potato one is a pizza I will never forget, it was GOOD. We are going back to Cedar again to... More

The Cedar Tavern is dark, pretty worn and seems to attract an interesting mix of locals (clearly many of them are hard-core regulars) and out-of-towners (most of whom arrived by motorcycle the day we were there). The mix made the place lively without being loud and really quite pleasant as long as one doesn't need fine china to have a... More

I've had both breakfasts and dinners at the Cedar Tavern. Usually they have a special which is always a good value and great food. It has a small town feel to the bar. My favorite are the breakfasts. I really enjoy getting my breakfast piping hot.
