I've been fortunate enough to have not had to pay for my own meals. We are fairly limited here in our small area when it comes to dining experiences, but this... More

Very disappointed, but must admit this was our first visit. One star food at three star prices. I had the cod special, and it was anything but special. Very ordinary frozen cod pieces, a bit watery, with a damp baked potato. The house white wine was very sweet. The beer selection. Was ok. Great view of the lake and harbor.... More

The view from the outside patio is nice..picture this..walked in to find 4 dirty tables and two other tables of people. One couple just trying to finish their food...they said it wasn't very good...anyway ,it was a very warm day and the canvas tarp ceiling was leaking in 6 places...mind you not rain water but run off from the air... My husband and I use to go to topsiders Everytime we were in East Tawas. We have a family cabin there. We love the French Onion soup. One of my favorite things to eat there is the pecan encrusted chicken. We liked it so well that we suggested this place to eat when my mother in law and grandma wanted... More

[This review is for the attached restaurant. I cannot comment on the hotel proper.] Not sure I've ever given a '1-star' rating before. The street sign for the restaurant was inviting and a good attraction. The dining area is attached to a beautiful lodge/motel overlooking Tawas Bay. When we finally found our way into the restaurant, we were not greeted... More

This is our go-to place for Mother's Day, Thanksgiving and Easter. We have not tried anything off of their menu, only the buffet-style holiday meal, but those dinners were soooo good. better than I could (or be willing to) make at home.

Thank Ann H
