Friends visiting from out of state. Were excited to visit and dine at the Bavarian Inn, but disappointed in our food. Chicken was dry and food was cold.

We visit frakenmuth every so often but had not eaten here before. We decided to try something new and were not disappointed. Our server was great suggesting drunk ideas and some menu favs. I had chicken tenders lunch and my husband had a cheeseburger which he says was the best burger he has EVER had. The cole slaw was very... More
Good food and excellent service. There is a nice selection of American and German food with a wide variety of side dishes. The decor is more rustic than Zehnder's. It's best to make reservations as the lines are long for walk-ins.
Went here on a December afternoon about 2:30 (in between lunch & dinner). While the food was very good and the ambience nice for the venue, I find meals that are priced over $20/per person a little high for chicken or pork. Fortunately, we were able to order off the lunch menu which dropped the prices somewhat. Not sure I... More
We celebrated my wife's birthday here and the service was excellent. We were seated very promptly and our waitress was most helpful and attentive. My Bavarian plate was absolutely the best I've had ever. Beef, pork, and schnitzel with perfectly cooked vegetables and a spectrum of salads with three different choices of German breads plus crackers. The meal started with... More
The family style chicken dinners are wonderful. The dining room is maintained in its classic design. The murals on the walls are beautiful art and enhance the dining experience. The service is first rate and the food is freshly prepared using authentic, old world recipes. The family clearly takes pride in the product they offer. It's is a wonderful place... More
I had been looking forward to my fist ever visit to this place but was very disappointed. Had to ask for napkins. Food had been brought out already. No refills on our beverages. Some of out entree items did not come out until we had finished eating. The sausages were barely warm and the sauerkraut was pretty bland. The Cole... More
Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry for the service and meal you received. On your first visit with us, things should have been fantastic and you should have been well taken care of. I'm so sorry this did not happen. I would be happy to talk with you more about your visit in further detail if you would... More
Service and food outstanding. Beautiful surroundings and price was in line for offerings. One flaw was there is no sign asking guest to check in with hostess if they had a reservation. The line to get non reserved seating was two hours wait and ended far from hostess stand. We assumed at first that was the line to check in.
Read reviews for this restaurant and their Frankenmuth* Chicken so the decision was made that this was the place we were going to have supper during our overnight stay in Frankenmuth before returning home the next day. First let me say that our server (Debbi) provided us with fantastic service and accommodated us in every way. Our 3 pc Chicken... More
I've never had good German food in the US. As a German I would recommend not to go to this restaurant. The menu is OK, simple but a good sample for some famous German dishes. However, it's too expensive for the amount you end up getting. We ordered Kassler and the Frankenmuth Combination. The portion size and tasre were decent... More
I appreciate you letting us know about your visit with us. I'm sorry that you weren't overly impressed with the amount of food you received. We just feel our sauerkraut is so delicious we want to serve it with every German dish. :) We appreciate your comments and if you would like to discuss your visit further please feel free... More

We are planning on coming to Frankenmuth for Christmas eve and day. Is the restaurant open those days?
