Beer and a splendid burger in this retro style diner. Old pinball and video games hark back to a misspent youth; graffiti on the tables is encouraged!!

Ordered the Bacon and Cheddar stuffed tots, the Angry Pig Tacos, and the Stella Burger. All were pretty good. Maybe I'm just getting old? Don't get me wrong, the food was good. But really, was just 3 1/2 star "bar" food. I can say that I was very excited about the Bacon and Cheddar stuffed tots. However they were not... More
Stella's is a whiskey lounge of champions in beer city, USA. Although the wait is hideous and it can grow extremely loud, the staff is friendly and funny, the menu is gigantic with loads of veg options, the food is phenomenal: full of flavor, texture, and hearty portions. And they have reasonably priced liquor flights.
After having been in Japan for 2 weeks, it was good to be on home land. Came in from Chicago. We spent the night with friends and enjoyed a new place for lunch. I ordered the Martini Burger, Oh My! Delicious! Couldn’t eat the whole thing, so enjoyed it the next day for lunch and it was equally as good.... More
I had the Mr. Fables burger and fries. My GR friends brought me, said I had to try the best burger in America. I'm more than skeptical about claims like that but it was very, very good. My burger had olives and Swiss cheese. Just fantastic. I usually don't like battered fries but these were awesome.
This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. We had a drink at the bar and felt like I was back in college or in Chicago. Quite the scene. The bartender was excellent and had good suggestions. We didn't eat.
I brought my sister, who lives out of town' to Stella's because I read that they had great Bloody Marys, award winning burgers and a great atmosphere. We arrived at 6:15pm on Saturday night to a full house and a 45 minute wait so we headed to the 3 deep bar to order a Bloody Mary. The bartender was awesome... More
I had friends recommend I go when they found out I was going to Grand Rapids for a meeting. The place has a young hipster vibe. I went to the restaurant accompanied by four other forty-somethingers and we enjoyed some laughs at the 80't retro look. We enjoyed the burgers, service and listened in on the open mic poetry and... Stella's is incredible. Amazing food, great whisky and Michigan draft beer selection. I had The Buffalo burger tonight, and it may have been the best burger I've ever had. And the Chronic Fries! Amazing. Also had the queso as an appetizer, and it was top notch! Highly recommend.
