If you go, plan to spend an average of $10 per person. I opted for a Wet burrito with beans and side of chips $10.60. The sauce is similar to an Enchilada sauce with a cumin flavor and slightly spicy. Expected more meat/bean inside. Wet burrito is served in the aluminum container for take out or dine in. I prefer... I absolutely LOVE their meat and bean plate. You can get it any way you want it, and you eat it all with chips. So delicious and filling and good. I could eat it every day.

I often walk the 3 blocks from my office to pick up lunch at the place known affectionately as "The Hat". I usually get the chicken taco salad. It has a layer of warm spicy sauced chicken, a layer of cheese and a topping of crisp fresh lettuce with tomatoes, black olives and onions. The hot salsa sends it over... More

Dropped by here after a dissatisfying experience at a nearby bar/restaurant. The counter gal was less than hospitable. Ooh, tamales! She mumbled something. Pardon me? No chicken tamales? No tamales at all. I asked for a description of the "chips and cheese." It sounded pretty good, so I requested it, with chicken. She offered no "it'll be a few minutes"... More

This place was ok. Their salsa that comes with the meal (even on takeout) was pretty spicy. I had the spinach burrito and it was pretty good. I did appreciate that they were open late.

My son’s organization had a fundraiser through El Sombrero Restaurant and one of the wet burritos that were bought had a pen in it. When I called the owner and explained what had happened his words were “I’m sorry but things happen”. I paused and said “and”? He said that he would refund the money for that burrito and that... This location is a staple in Grand Rapids, Michigan Area, Tamales are a good choice, pork or chicken either one is tasty, I go for Taco's on a corn shell, flour is a good back up, the enchilada sauce is great tasting for the wet burrito and enchiladas as well. Hot sauce has good flavor but order the hot veggies... More

I have been ordering the Dry Bubba ( Dry Burrito) for the past 5 years every month and every time it tastes amazing. The beans taste amazing which makes the burrito so much better! The customer service is great and fast. They also have take out, but I usually eat inside. They have a great environment and have a billboard... More

My husband/I have been eating here for almost 40 years. Only once did I eat inside - this is our standard "after work, pick up takeout food" place. There is nothing gross about it. I have a very picky stomach and this is one of the only places I can order mexican and feel good afterward. The meat is nicely... More
