This review is for this wonderful diner only; I have not stayed overnight in the motel. Dreamland Cafe closes for winter, but the minute spring hits I am making a road trip to buy a loaf of freshly home made rye bread and maybe some carrot cake. I rarely eat ham anymore, but Dreamland serves up the delicious lean ham... More

Saw some cars parked there, so we stopped for breakfast. Excellent food, homemade bread and jams. Prepared just as we want it.

Motel was dated but very clean and is run and cleaned by Americans !! There was no phone, micro wave or coffee service but for $48 we had a very nice comfortable room that reminded me and my brother of the days we were at home.. Now the Restaurant was outstanding with a superb salad bar full of home made... More

Deb and I stopped at the Dreamland Restaurant for breakfast on our way to Copper Harbor. Options along Hwy 2 are pretty limited in this stretch of road but the place looked inviting plus we were starving. We selected a booth along the row of windows looking out the front of the building towards Hwy 2 and were immediately waited... More

We stop at this restaurant to buy pasties everytime we pass by, both going east and west on Hwy 2. Haven't found any better than they make here. Awesome. I love pasties.

We've been coming here for many years when in the area. The last time was 3 years ago and we ate here twice and loved it as we always had. But this recent visit was a little disappointing. The place still looks the same, right down to the hummingbird feeders (love watching the little birds come to feed while we... More

Every year on our way to our Lake MI cabin in Gulliver we look forward most to stopping at Dreamland Restaurant to pick up pies and bread. We're leaving for MI on Wednesday, and we love this place so much, I just called to insure they are still in business. Yeay... they are! I'm drooling for blueberry pie. Rhubarb pie.... More

Bar none, Dreamland has the best pasties in the U.P. (and that's quite a competition!). Flaky pastry, seasoned perfectly! We've never gotten any other food here, but it's always busy, nice looking salad bar, friendly quick service. Did I mention the spectacular pasties? We get them every time through, and get a bunch of frozen ones to take home at... More

Very good salad bar, excellent sandwiches and good service. Plenty of parking, and a real restaurant on a road with little food to offer.
