I enjoyed my visit to Cafe Gulistan. The food was super fresh and they even grow their own veggies on site for an almost farm to table type experience. The Eastern food was a mostly new experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

My Wife and I love Gulistan so much that we frequently plan day trips to SW Michigan from Chicago in order to end our day with dinner here. The food is top notch, the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion, and the service is friendly and attentive. When we spend summer long weekends in the area or even during the... More

We liked this place so much we went back twice during our vacation in Sawyer. There are lots of vegetarian options to choose from, as well as lamb, beef, and chicken dishes for the meat eaters. I especially liked the split pea soup that was the special. It's actually a very flavorful yellow lentil soup with a smoky flavor, similar... More

I lived in New Buffalo for a number of years and loved that we could get authentic Turkish food in a cozy environment. They have nice soup, warm pita, good hummus and a light and sweet baklava. The meats are tender and the shrimp is well seasoned. We enjoy the cozy indoor environment and in the summer, the garden is... More

I love a vegetarian plate with eggplant--it is not really on the menu but they make it for me anyway. Also very good fish dishes. We always enjoy going here.

Food great and it is not an overpriced establishment. I am a vegetarian and there was a lot of delicious options for me. For this neighborhood it is a diamond! I highly recommend it. (Although our waitress was not too clever and confused all the time the food was so good that you forget about any loose ends. Also it... More

Gulistan was a difference after experiencing mostly midWestern fare in this neighbourhood. Considering its location would rate food quality as high. In a larger city this would merit an average rating. Ambience a bit rundown, and service can be better, price a mite too high for value. However, in a location where you least expect such fare worth eating when... More

We enjoyed delicious appitizers and entrees from this creative restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. The weather was gorgeous that night so we dined al fresco.

Top notch meal, wine list and service! Best place to eat in the area around Union Pier, New Buffalo and Three Oaks. Pick a table facing the garden for a great view while dining.
