Somewhat pricey for ordinary food. But, I love the gift area. It's quaint and unique. A place to try to form your own opinion. Right here in downtown Kalamazoo.

Food Dance is my favorite place to go for breakfast in Kalamazoo. I live here and have been many many times. I order The Bolero over and over. It is an egg scramble with artichokes, spinach, green onions and feta cheese. It comes with freshly made potatoes and a choice of scone, muffin or toast. And it is delicious! They... More
This place has wonderful, wholesome selections. I love the fact that they use local sources for many items. Entrees are all excellent. But, consistently I feel their service does not match the quality of the food nor the atmosphere. It seems that the staff are assigned too many tables and I've seen staff hurrying around, yet unable to get to... More
I have been here 2 times and have had a great meal both times. The menu is unique featuring house made items and local ingredients.
When we lived in Kalamazoo, this was of our favorite date night places when we wanted a great higher end meal. Now that we live across state, it's still one of our favorite places if we have a chance when we're in town. The menu always changes, I had the Pad Thai last time, and it was amazing!!
I had brunch at Food Dance Cafe on a Sunday morning. The restaurant is in downtown Kalamazoo in an old building that has been nicely restored. I had White Fish scrambled eggs. It was delicious. The service was very good: prompt and cordial. Try the ketchup. It is prepared in the restaurant and it is really good.
The menu includes a variety of interesting dishes and enough tame ones to satisfy everyone. The service was fantastic from multiple staff people. Portions were enormous, but sadly I could only eat about half of what was on my plate. I had the Do-si-do omelet with home fries, which was great. Others in out party had the pad thai (very... More
We are local residents and we always enjoy Food Dance. A classy casual place with locally sourced menu and great ambiance. Much better than chain restaurants. My father in law who is picky claims their burger was the best burger he had ever eaten. The only thing that's changed lately is the parking. The lot behind the restaurant is always... More
I've been here mostly for lunch. LOVE the albacore tuna fish sandwich on homemade bread. LOVE the the tomato bisque soup and I do recall have a very nice dinner as well

I am a Top Contributor to Trip Advisor and feel that it is the best and most valuable resource when I travel. I answer many questions from traveler about where I have been and now Ilike to ask about where I am going. We will be at the Riu Hotel Montego Bay at the end of March. Since SCUBA diving is my passion, what kind of arrangments can be made? Also, are there any tours available to local attractions or historical sites? Finally, the rating is not as high as other properties in the area, is there a concern for safsty on the property?
Thanks for any responses!
