Had a stellar dinner at the bar. Vincent was the bartender/server and was exceptional. Very helpful and all his recommendations were spot on. Definitely a huge asset for them. He recommended their soups and we had the seafood chowder which was fantastic. We had the...More

Enjoyable meal - eclectic menu - nice wine and beer list. Good service, "witty" waiter - my son ask, tongue in check, "should I order the soup," and the waiter replied, "dude, it's called the Soup Spoon . . . ." Reasonably priced.
Thank you so much for the great review! We are so glad that you enjoyed your visit with us and we hope you are able to come back again soon!
The seasonal pumpkin bisque is absolutely amazing....it is topped with a dollop of whipped cream if you like. It is so packed w flavor that whatever you get to eat afterwards might seem bland. I followed my bisque with eggs over medium with some of...More
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I hope your visit with us yesterday went just as well as the last!
Really tasty sandwiches and soup. Nice atmosphere. I had pretty crappy service (which I would gladly discuss with a manager; not going to slam anyone on trip advisor) but the restaurant as a whole was wonderful. Will be back. Just hope to get a different...More

This was a pleasant eating experience. Definitely a place I would return to for a meal. There was a 20 minute wait over at lunch. The soups were great but my daughter wasn't impressed with the French toast. The server did well considering the flow...More
Thank you so much for the great review! I apologize that your daughter did not enjoy the French toast. I hope you will be back soon and we are able to wow both of you!
Every time my brother comes home we head to the Soup Spoon Cafe. Excellent, interesting menu. Wine list and beer selection is top notch. You may have to wait a bit for a table but well worth it. Always an interesting mix of patrons.
Thank you so much, we are honored to be the meeting spot for you and your brother!
I’ve only had breakfast and lunch here. The food here is solidly “good.” It’s not great or interesting but it’s far better than almost all other Lansing establishments. The menu offers classic and slightly funky options. Everything I’ve tried has been good (i.e., sandwiches, soup,...More

Loved the fresh, homemade soup and salads. Caesar salad was amazing. Pass on the French dip sandwich. Great atmosphere and good service.
