It's been 40 years since I've had the chance to come here and it is still as I remembered it - old fashioned outside and in with awesome chicken! We ordered the chicken basket for two which came with relish plate/soup/salad/fries and 8 (yes, eight, VIII,ocho!) pieces of deliciously fried chicken! Our server was attentive, the other diners were enjoying... More

Food is great. Beware on Friday you'll have a wait for dinner. The perch is wonderful. The burgers take 20 minutes to be served (says on menu) but worth the wait. The are HUGE!! If you don't like limp fries, ask for crispy. The steak is wonderful, I added blue cheese crumbles, onions and mushrooms. Baked potato was large. I'm... More

No big news here. Like many reviewers I found the Chateau Louise to be a restaurant stuck in time. I was recently there with a party of eleven people. Of course it took a while to get seated - the Chateau does not take reservations! However, the wait was not overly long. The wait staff were very busy, but they... More

Best perch dinner I've had this side of the lake! One pound burgers and fried chicken a hit! A spontaneous stop for food on way to airport that was positive! Will be back to try the rest of the menu..

This not a Ruby Tuesday's or a Ruth's Cris steakhouse. It's a time honored (I ate there for the first time 24 years ago) restau rant, very popular with locals, and for good reason. Their menu, especially the perch, pickers, frog legs and turtle soup are perfection. I saw the reviewers picture of the steak. It was a flawless medium... More

Smells like pee, bartenders were somewhat drunk and drinking behind bar. Outside of building is rotting and trees growing from rooftop. Water dripping from ceiling. Cannot believe the City does not shut them down????? Chairs all ripped and filthy and bathroom doesn't work.

Driving back from Dayton, Ohio I stopped at Chateau Louise to eat dinner. This restaurant needs a major overhaul. Wallpaper pealing off the walls. Torn plastic covering the ceiling in the entrance foyer. Probably original tables, chairs, carpet, dishes, silverware etc from the 40s or 50s when the restaurant first opened. Table felt greasy. Bathroom looked like a dirty gas... More

There isn't one thing on their menu that you won't love. The whole deep fried pickeral is the best I've ever had, as well as their fried shrimp and fried scallops. Every entree is perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside. Your meal also comes with a relish tray, bread, crackers, homemade soup, salad, potato, and... More

My wife, son, granddaughter, and I visited this restaurant because of its setting in Luna Pier, and because it was open late of a Sunday evening. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. I got one of their seafood platters, and the waitress allowed me to substitute another kind of seafood other than the one that was listed. A... More
