Wasn't familiar with whitefish until doing some research for our trip to Mackinaw City and found that this particular fish seemed popular in the area so knew we had to give it a try while there. We like the 'hole in the wall' kind of spots for lunch so when we saw Bells we knew right away it was for... More

Stopped by one morning for some smoked whitefish on way home and it is excellent. Wish we would have been there later in the day and tried their fish fry as had heard it is excellent but no experience ourselves

Nothing is better then fresh fish and this establishment didn't disappoint. Had perch and whitefish that melted in your mouth. Don't judge a book by its cover. The lady behind counter not overly friendly but she does have a smile.

Finally tried a whitefish basket while my wife had yellow perch from Bell's and found myself wishing I had tried it sooner. This place is well known for their smoked fish that they have sold for years and recently added fish dinners. You dine outside at picnic tables and use plastic silverware. Bottled pop and water is available for purchase.... More

We've been buying smoked fish from Bell's for many years and always, always have been extremely happy with their product. Until now. We stopped here on our way to the U.P. on 7/28. They were busy, as always, and we see they now offer fish dinners to eat there or take out. There was one young girl running the fish... More

We ordered 2 combo fried fish baskets and 1 perch and 1 trout basket. We had 5 people. We could have went with 3 baskets as a lot of food. They included fries and coleslaw. The drinks were extra $1.50 each. We felt the baskets were a bit pricey but if it was fresh fish that explains why. You eat... More

To me, best smoked fish in the area, second only to Cross Fisheries in Charlevoix for the whole Great Lakes region. Fresh and smoked fish, some of the best whitefish pate around.

We always stop her to get our fish. The perch is very fresh but can be expensive. I love this place and can't wait to go back.

A mom and pop place set back along the lake, it sells fresh fish, smoked fish, and makes fried fish meals. We bought trout pate and a plate of fried white fish one evening and it was so good (and not expensive like elsewhere in this tourist town) that we went back a second time.
