Great breakfast and lunch here. No worries, you will do well. Some of the bread for the sandwiches was a bit, well, um stale. But I'm very fussy.

We stopped here for dinner. The food was great! The atmosphere was retro with the marked up worn tables and the vinyl and metal chairs. The staff was friendly. We sat by the window and could see the Lake.

Delightful candy shop with excellent light fare!!! Our parents first dated in Donckers and we have visited every day for a sweet in their honor.... excellent food choices and candy is out of this world!!

In my opinion, Donckers is way overrated. If you love chocolate, it's probably the place to go. The food, however, is average at best. My burger was pretty good, but skimpy and not worth the $10 they charge for it. The others in our group...More

We waited 30 minutes for lunch--the servings were meager and disappointing. I would definitely not go back.

We visited Donckers for a late lunch on a Sunday. We were surprised at the number of restuarants closed on Sunday. Pleasantly surprised to find Donckers open and not overly crowded. We headed upstairs to place our order at the counter and found a table...More

We had very tasty and interesting grilled cheeses. The menu is extensive and there is a lot of seating. We sat inside overlooking the city by some large windows. And there is a great candy counter on the ground floor.

No beer or wine but chocolate and phosphates. A better place locally for beer and wine is the Ore Docks and Sol Azteca.

Description
Donckers was established in 1896 by Fred Donckers, a one-armed family man that prided himself on great customer service and top-notch ingredients used to make his locally-famous chocolate fudge.

Over 120 years later, Donckers is continuing the tradition of great, quality food and service to locals and tourists alike. Take a trip to Donckers for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and stay for dessert at the old fashioned soda fountain, or try some house-made chocolates and caramels from the store. Some items of note are the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels, Fred's Tin Roof Sundae, fresh local burgers, and award winning Donckers mac and cheese.
