We visited Zarzuela for the second time last night, and again had an excellent meal. We shared a bottle of nice, reasonably priced wine, had several kinds of tapas, and then finished it off with a lovely salad with roasted vegetables. All really good. We are from the west coast, and admittedly, are used to a wide assortment of Mediterranean... More

There was a time that things were exactly as they should be with this small restaurant. Not the case lately! Was there last night for dinner and left afterwards severely disappointed. Ordered the Chorizo with fried bread, it came with Chorizo and bread slices...... what is this???? The Chorizo was awesome, but there was no fried bread in sight. Also... More

I'm very sorry to hear that your most recent visit didn't measure up to ones in your past, John! While I'm glad the lobster mac and cheese and chorizo both had the great flavors and execution you were looking for, I'm surprised by the temperature problems and inaccurate description you encountered with other dishes. I hope you took the opportunity... More

Specializes in food from Spain. We were in a party of six. We ordered the hot tapas (small plates) and shared. The big hit was the bacon wrapped figs stuffed with cheese. these were awesome. For our entrees I ordered the pasta and my wife ordered the chicken in a brown sauce. I enjoyed the pasta, but my wife's chicken... More

I love eating at Zarauela's whenever I'm in Marshall. I enjoy the bistro atmosphere, the service has been friendly and helpful, and there are many great choices "off the beaten menu." Unique selections. My favorite is the little croquettes. On the east end of downtown on the north side - easily missed. Free street parking.

Went on a weekday. Great service & interesting food selections. Large main course meals. Pasta dishes could easily be shared. Beard is not served with meals but is available but for a cost. Appetizers- small meals a bit pricy. Was surprised that when a guest asked for crackers or bread for soup, there was a charge. Another one of our... More

We came here at the recommendation from where we were staying. We ordered a hot Tapas the Pan Queso as an appetizer. Our main entrees came out before the Tapas. I ordered the special steak and crab claw which was a good price. The steak did not have any seasoning that I noticed and I enjoyed eating it with the... More

There's nothing better than perfectly flavored steak, so I'm sorry yours didn't hit the spot. While I'm glad you enjoyed the salad and your sides, it sounds like we might've dropped the ball when it comes to getting those tapas out to you in a timely manner. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, and I'll be chatting with... More

During a recent stay in Marshall, the Innkeeper recommended Zarzuela on Michigan Ave. It was a short walk from the Inn and well worth the stroll. Love the food selections & vary with choice of specials. Service is great. Although a small restaurant with a tiny bathroom, it was very clean. Would definitely recommend trying.
