The fort is vacant with the exception of the gift shop...so much potential for this space. It'd be wonderful if it could be privatized and upgraded to bed and breakfast or hosteling...

We spent one night in Namutoni to explore the eastern part of Etosha, its very close to the Etosha pan so was very convenient for game watching and we saw lions, elephant and large herds of zebra very close to the camp. The site is not as nice as ekaukuejo camp, but the rooms were actually nicer. Very comfortable bed,... More

All the various services, plus cabins and camping facilities. (The Halali camp has a Post Office). A little tired looking, but service is quick and friendly. Patio bar was closed on my visit, but the restaurant serves filling meals. Small souvenir shops inside the fort, am, pm and night game drives offered. If you're staying outside the park, allow time... More

Nice old fort. The wildlife surround is nice also. On the way to Onkoshi Camp you can see some elephants.

I have often visited this park and it is amazing to see how this parks camps have been starting to fall apart. This is purely because of bad management. It is such a pity as it still is a very lovely park.

3 of us between us had hamburgers, fries, salads, hot dogs- none of it was very nice - the cooking seemed to be the problem. Try somewhere else would be our advice!

On a recent visit we stayed in the camp site which is really looking run down. On the first night there was no hot water to the ablution block with its rotting doors and frames and taps that spew water everywhere. The waterhole was worth the visit as per usual. The shop has barely anything in it so do your... More

Namutoni could be so amazing, but the facilities are not, would be great if the Fort were privatised to give NWR a bit of healthy competition.....we can but imagine
