Let us discuss what Sam Ryan's is. It is a sports bar, pub and grill. But it is so much more than just that. It is a place where people from all walks of life from all over the globe can go and fit in. I have met people who became my friends from USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland,... More

One of my favourite spots in Korea, without question! It serves as more of a restaurant during the day and more as a bar later at night. A varied and well-priced menu offers a lot of options, as does a fully-stocked bar with at least 10 beers on tap at any time. A warm, friendly and congenial atmosphere makes this... More

I have spent alot of time in Korea the last 4 months and been to this establishment several times. I believe based on input from some of my co-workers that the quality has declined since "Boston" the old manager left. The food is ok and as with most bars/pubs in Korea imported beer especially the good kind can be pricey.... More

After reading good reviews, (this place is highly rated on Trip Advisor), I decided to give "Sam Ryans" a try for dinner but sadly it was a major disappointment across the board. Let me explain: Firstly - I was expecting a bit of a lively atmosphere, when I arrived on a Thursday night at around 8pm I was one of... More

Great burgers, chilly, poutine, and beer. Been here numerous times and I've never been disappointed. Mixed drinks can be a bit pricey, but shots and beer are affordable. If you're looking for a reliable place to get your western fix in a city loaded with galbi and chicken restaurants, this is the spot to go. Various specials during the week... More

We returned to Korea to visit friends after 3 years of living In Japan. It is wonderful to see that "American" bars are making their way away from Itaewon. Our friends live in Suwon and we spent some time at the Sam Ryan's there. I was amazed to see their incredible beer selection. I HIGHLY recommend the Watermelon Wheat. They... More

I was so happy when they opened a Sam Ryans in Suwon as we were a little low on western grub and drinks. The rib nights on Thursdays are the best night to check out their food as they are amazing! Great service and atmosphere, be sure to check them out especially if you are new to the area and... More

Nice to have a bit of home here so far from home. Great people, great service. You kind of feel like Norm from Cheers when you walk in. They remember you name, your favorite drink and sports team.

Not in a specific order, I love this place! This was my second trip to Suwon and I have turned into a regular while here. Al (the owner) Boston (the manager and great drinking partner), staff and other customers, both westerners and Koreans are all excellent to hang out with. Wether it be for dinner or a long night of... More

In soju alley there are a plethora of places, all competing to draw in the crowds of people in search of good food and good drinks. Sam Ryan's Sports Bar & Grill has an edge in a few respects - the food, the beer, and the service. On tap are ales, pilseners and stouts, and in bottles are quite a... More
