What a fantastic restaurant. Great food (pork plat is to be recommended), great service, great environment. Cannot recommend highly enough. And the restroom is unique!

Another fabulous meal at this super restaurant. My starter (a sort of souffle with a mushroom sauce and slivers of smoked haddock) was inspired. I had the ling, and hubby had the duck, both cooked to perfection, the Ling (not a fish I am familiar with) was probably the nicest piece of fish I've ever eaten. How do they produce the food they do in that tiny space, (for the bargain prices they charge). Service was lovely, they don't speak English and we don't speak French, but we get by, and she is so lovely with us. Thank you again for a lovely evening, see you next year.

We have been coming to Noirmoutier for 15 years, but have never been here before. The host was the MOST charming and welcoming lady, and did all she could to make sure we had a great evening. Decor was lovely, it is very quaint, loved the pitcher of wine, the food was AMAZING. So delighted we have found this place, hoping we can get a table for Friday too!

Excellent service and hospitality and home cooking. We ate at almost every restaurant in Noirmoutier-en-l’Ile and this was our favorite. Everything was delicious and we felt really welcome. The Lyonnaise entree and plat were super delicious. Many dessert options were available and was fantastic. Decor was fun and classically eclectic. Loved loved loved.

The restaurant has a warm ambience and the decor is interestingly eclectic. The place is very popular with both locals and tourists, and was fully booked every night. Each course was delicious.

This restaurant is everything everyone has described and more! A really great dining experience in the true French tradition. We had a salmon tartare for an appetizer, really excellent. Then a perfectly cooked piece of steak, with a delicious sauce, served with my favorite, gratin dauphinois! For dessert, 4 choices, we had chocolate moelleux with caramel sauce. The restaurant has a very eclectic decor, so interesting to look at. The owners know their business and it is a first class experience.

Really great little place where you can eat food from Lyon. It’s run by a couple - man in the (really small) kitchen, woman efficiently running the tables. Two choices at each course, just a few wines and really tasty - a feeling of properness about the place.

Small resto (max 20 covers I guess) run by a family. Limited menu but everything on it was tremendous, tasty and great value given the standard of cooking. Sure, it's homely but in no way does this diminish a great evening. Wine is served by the carafe but is excellent 'cuvee maison'. You will need to book during high season but probably best to come when the population of the island's population goes from 100K to 10K i.e. after the French school holidays. Will defo return.

The menu is not huge but there is certainly something for everyone. Everything is fresh that day, and very delicious! The menu changes according to what is available at the market. Veronique serves "with a smile" in the very small (26-person seating) restaurant, while her husband does the cooking and preparation. My wife had the fish, and I had the beef. We both started with the tomato and cheese, and ended with the lemon tart. Everything was superb!

This is a really small restaurant so it is definitely worth booking. The menu is limited but all the food is freshly cooked in the tiny kitchen almost under your nose. The dishes were all weekly thought out and prepared with care. Would definitely go back.

The owners Gilles and Véronique will welcome you warmly into there lovely little "Bistrot lyonnais" and give you a taste of their traditional cuisine. The menu changes every two weeks, fresh produce from the market, choice of two starters, two mains and 4 desserts that are absolutely delicious, and for a very reasonable price. We are still in Noirmoutier for 10 days and have already booked another two evenings. Book in advance !!!!

Address to keep, Lyon cork opposite the Château de Noirmoutier. Warm welcome and “family” style meal. Fair price: starter, main course and dessert for less than €30. Remember to make a reservation as the room does not have many tables. Only Madame serving and Monsieur in the kitchen. Fresh and deliciously cooked products. GO THERE WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED!
