Grandparents, wife and three kids all stopped in for dinner. The Bistro has good prompt service. The food and drink was excellent as always. We have been here a handful of times before. The ambiance and cost is perfect for a small town italian restaurant in Pinckney. We will definitely return.

It is often difficult to please 9 people with different tastes and preferences for food and beverage; La Vita Bistro managed to do the trick. The menu was varied with adequate choices for everyone's tastes. The wine and beverage selections were more than adequate. All the entrees were applauded with "this is very good". The entrees were served with some... More

In a small town like Pinckney it is a treasure to find a restaurant of this caliber! Excellent Mediterranean fare and great wine selections! It is a great venue for a date night or a great place to host an event. Don't miss Wednesday and half off a selection of great wines!

I have reviewed la vita before. We have eaten here many times, over 30. Once again the food was fantastic. The martinis were delicious. This place is worth driving to. Luckily i live real close . Can't wait to return.

We had a table of six and we were welcomed quite well, the food and atmosphere were splendid and as mentioned, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We were on vacation nearby, at one of the cottages on the chain of lakes. Had some errands to run in original "downtown" Pinckney (hardware store, gas, etc). Decided to eat out, and we're so glad we did! We're from the San Francisco Bay Area, so are accustomed to chefs that use local ingredients and make nice presentations of their... More

Lasagna is just okay. Too much sauce. Salads are very small. No refill on bread. Waitress was overly flirtatious to my husband to the point I felt uncomfortable. Offered him another drink but not me. It is hit or miss here either certain dishes. Not sure if we will be back. Getting pricey too.

I must say the food isn't as good here as it originally was with the first chef. The second main chef has tried to copy some of the dishes I used to love but it's a tad subpar. The atmosphere is relaxing and nice and for a little town like Pinckney, it's nice to see a place this caliber thrive.... More

The interior was very pleasant. The booths will sea 6 peoples. Found the food to be for the most pat slightly above average. My friends enjoyed their salads, which were relatively small. They enjoyed the trout and veal oscar which had ample serving. Found the pasta serving adequate. My bolognese sauce was nice but not outstanding. The vegetable soup was... More

We found this gem while driving around killing some time waiting for a friend to get off work up in Howell on a Friday night. Picked up a paper menu and decided to visit for dinner after our trip to the Michigan/Michigan State game the following night. This is a real find. Only negative, a high quality restaurant like this... More

Description
You will love all the house made favorites including Lasagna, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Scampi, Smoked Mozzarella... Just to name a few. Dinner entrees include soup or a salad. Chef Eirik creates dishes sure to please even the most discriminating of palates. Many of the ingredients he uses are items grown by local farmers. The ambiance at La Vita Bistro is one of comfort and class. You will feel like you are treating yourself to someplace special, but without the high cost of the city. Come as you are, have a family meal or celebrate a special event. The seating area has expanded into the adjoining building and offers a different, more open and casual ambience, while the patio area with its large fire-pit overlooking the park is comfortable and inviting and is open weather permitting. The original dining room boasts large, cozy tall booths for a more elegant and intimate feeling. Wines are available for purchase and carryout also.
