I drive to Ackroyd's a couple of times per year to stock up on the wonderful pasties and savory baked goods that can't be purchased anywhere else in this area. My family loves these. They freeze well and make a quick and delicious meal or snack. Today, I purchased sausage rolls, steak pasties, steak and kidney pies and steak and... More

Just got back from a shopping trip to Ackroyds. I say shopping because I have never walked out of there with the variety of goodies that I bought this time. Irish stew pies, mac n cheese pies, corned beef and cabbage pasties, beef pasties, cheese and onion pies, meat pies, and shepherds pies. Yowza. McKenna was a great help and... More

This is more of a small bakery - deli. Do not plan to eat on site. They make and sell traditional Scottish foods, plus many other British specialties. Add American imaginative variations, and enjoy!

My mom loves the blueberry scones here. She said it was a highlight of her trip to visit. Walking distance from Redford Town Hall and a really great little gem in Redford.

My husband and I purchase tasty baked goods at Ackroyds often. The sausage rolls have great flavor and a nice light pastry luff. The meat pies are yummy, and you have to try the mac 'n cheese pies. Nice to take to a party as well.

I didn't realize this bakery was here and I was raised in this area. I stopped in after reading about it in the paper. I am not Scottish but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate what they sell. The shortbread was excellent. The tarts are old world. They are so tasty. The filling is flavorful and the crust melts in... More

My grandmother brought me here over 50 years ago. I come back to get my fix when every I am in town. The beef pastries are the best. Get there early, for once there are sold, they are gone. Love all the different kinds of desserts. They also ship !!!! I am a customer for life.

I love trying authentic ethnic foods so i got a little bit of everything but pretty much everything was bland and boring... who knows maybe that is how it was supposed to be!
