I love this tiny little bar/restaurant. It has such a nostalgic vibe and their Happy Hour is the best in the area! I love that the Kruser Fish Tacos are always on the menu!

A great bar in the front of the Rochester Chop House. Quite a bit of seating, but because it is so popular, can be standing room only. Great oysters on the half shell, fish tacos, mussels, calamari. Calimari is the best we've had, and we've had lots. Tender, cut from the steak portion, so no rubbery tennicles. Awesome lemon/butter/caper sauce.

Great seafood, very friendly and helpful staff, cozy and fun atmosphere, unpretentious, awesome happy hour - what more could you ask for ? Much better value than the Chop House in back.

My husband and I are complete food snobs and so whenever we return to Michigan to visit my parents, we fear the giant portions of not very good quality food that one often finds in Michigan restaurants. We had our second visit to Kabin Kruser's last night and were again pleased with the quality of the food and the service.... More

I love destinations where people gush over me, don't you? This is that type of place. Super friendly help, amazingly wonderful food, and great drinks. Everyone always seems to have a great time. This is the Rochester street-front pub attached to the Rochester Chop House. You can, if desired, order off the Chop House menu, or there are wonderful things... More

Arrived during happy hour. The bar area was packed, standing room only. After waiting about 30 minutes we sat in a small 2 person table top. Ordered a few drinks and a few appetizers. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The happy hour menu was decent. Food and drinks were great. We will return again

Wait staff is excellent and professional. Food is good too. However the seating makes one feel like a sardine. It is packed- elbow to elbow. I wish it was dinner. It does have a great atmosphere.

Only question is dine in front at Kabin Krusers or the Chop House in back. Happy Hour is a great deal but dine any time with my Distinguished Diner card and it is always an exceptional value. Food is well prepared and the staff is friendly.

I am a fan of a "Grown-Up Leisurely Saturday Lunch". Kabin Kruser is the place to go. A solid scotch selection and wide assortment of seafood dishes, it's time to relax and settle in for a great experience. A warm and welcoming staff with great managers like Pam to address a wide array of dining needs. Ask for station 600... More

Busy and often noisy, but you can usually get in within 15 minutes. Fish Tacos and small plates are good choices. Nice wine selection. Service is a bit hit or miss but the room is small so it is not hard to summons your server. Nice casual to dressy alternative.
