Ahan Thai is a great spot for Thai food in Royal Oak, with parking close by. The portions are as large as you would expect from an authentic Thai restaurant, and everything is very tasty. My only complaint would be how small the place is! It would be great to have larger tables for larger parties. My most recent visit... More

I got a takeout and special ordered a vegetarian pad Thai requesting, instead of meat or soy, extra veggies and scallions. I got almost nothing but noodles. Even LESS veggies than if I had ordered the dish with meat. Disappointed. That said, it was tasty.

I'm from northern Michigan and I spend weeks craving Ahan Thai's pad see ew. Take out is always speedy and you get a large portion. Don't miss out.

Sorry but good Thai restaurants are not a dime a dozen and despite polite service I felt instantly ripped off when my pad thai was delivered as there was just a sprinkle of peanut and I had to order more and was charged an extra dollar as offered on the menu.. The shrimp was tasteless and almost cold, as if... More

My favorite are the fresh rolls! I also love the drunken noodles and fried rice! Consistently great Thai food!

The service was very fast and the food was good. It was my first time eating Thai food. Even the mild seemed way spicy for me but then again maybe it's supposed to be that way. I will be going again to try something different and maybe with less spice.

We visited Ahan Thai for the first time and placed a take out order. The service was excellent and our food was ready within minutes. I thought the food was very fresh. I was very pleased with Ahan Thai and can't wait to try more items from the menu. Although we did not stay for dinner the atmosphere very warm... More

As sad as I was that Thai on Main left, it just means more opportunities to eat at Ahan. Well worth it - great food, friendly staff.

I've been going to Ahan Thai for years now! It's a quaint and cozy place that's conveniently located in Royal Oak. It's one of my favorite places to eat out at. Do not believe what northvillelady or AlexanderZ1983 wrote as I will gladly defend me and my friend's favorite thai place! I'm beginning to think Northvillelady was on her rag... More

They charge you for every little thing, including brown rice. No substitutions either. The food is not fresh as when you ask if you can omit something like onions they tell you NO because it's already prepared. This goes for everything. The place is empty as no one who is local would ever eat there. It's also not cheap. Surprised... More
