We decided to check out MI's Upper Peninsula in February. Plenty of ice and snow but not many restaurants open. Bentley's was a warm oasis for us. We had a mix of burgers, fries, and pasties with pies for dessert. Good food and even better service. We live in Texas but we will stop there again when we visit out... More

We arrived just at the end of breakfast service, but there was no problem. Great egg sandwich with lots of bacon!!! Friendly waitress, good cherry pie! What is not to like???

This is a small historic restaurant, the upstairs housed workers when the Mackinac Bridge was being built. Food is good but not great, very reasonably priced, staff extremely friendly. Good milkshakes. Worth a try.

Small little historical building. We had breakfast, with generous portions, quiet atmosphere reminiscent of a fifties type diner. Sure, the building was old, and perhaps the floors were a little uneven, but if you read the history of the building and how it was moved to its present location, you can understand why the floors are a little uneven around... When we walked in, we thought we were in for a good experience because the restaurant was very full. We weren't disappointed. The day was blustery, so we ordered bowls of chili and cream of potato soup. Just like Mom used to make! The chili was thick and full of meat, seasoned just right. The cream of potato soup was... Have had several meals in this little gem. A walk back in time. Always good food where the locals eat. Give it a try.

Original building since 1940. THE best breakfast in all of Up North !!! VERY generous portions. Everything homemade. Breads are to die for !! Very cozy, very friend staff. Soda fountain stools and cozy booths. It's small but well worth going there !! The iron workers who built the Mackinaw Bridge used to eat here and stay upstairs when they... More

Old fashioned diner feel! Staff and service was terrific! Was very busy when we arrived, thus sat at the high top table with swivel bar stools. Decor could use some updating... but service and food overshadowed that! (We chalked it up to nostalgia! Which made for great "remember when" conversations). Great omelettes; yummy breakfast "pastee" and super coffee! The locals... More

We sat down on the short swivel seats at the counter and felt right at home with locals and staff throughout our visit as we discussed our travels and they gave us suggestions for area sites. Bentleys serves Hiawatha pasties (located in Naubinway, MI). We prefer freshly made and these, we believe were frozen and reheated. The BEST thing to... More
