Stopped in after spending a day hiking and looking at waterfalls in picture rock park. My wife saw a sign for the restaurant and after driving by earlier decided to give it a try on our way back to Munising. The service was outstanding, the food was great and the portions were large. The prices were excellent. Would go back... More

We were staying near Munising and this restaurant wasn't too far so we thought we would check it out. It was clean, very friendly staff, we were waited on right away. I was cold down to the bones as we were out in the rain seeing water falls. I ordered hot turkey sandwich and my husband ordered philly cheese sandwich.... More

We had been looking at local waterfalls in the rain for 5 hours...needed coffee, and dreaded the usual weak cup of dribble that restaurants usually serve. I received a huge cup of the best coffee i've ever had while dining out. The waitresses were super-friendly, the prices reasonable, and the chicken-dumpling soup had actual dumplings...not the mini pre-made frozen ones.... More

Located near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and many OTV/AT and Snowmobile trails. Great place to rest and warm up! We have eaten here many times, never have we gone away hungry :) The Burgers are thick and juicy, and the Pasties are heavenly. You can really feel at home here. We will be back for more!

My husband and I stopped for a late lunch after hiking at Picture Rocks National Lakeshore. This is a bar/restaurant with emphasis on the bar. The place could have been cleaner but it was pretty average. The food, however, was very good. My husband had the special whitefish basket. The fish was great and the fries were very good (real... It had been a very long day. 8 hours in a car, epic hunt for lodging, then cramming in as much hiking as possible before dark. We were starving!! Our front desk at the hotel suggested Bear Trap Inn for dinner. We ordered a lot of food and all of it was fantastic! The Texas toothpicks, fried onions and jalapeno... More

One of the reviewers, stated it looked old and dirty. I hope she reviewed the right place. Place was very clean, and a really neat building. I was there after a day of hiking and was really hungry. I had a pastee, and drinks. Both were very good. Quite a few animal mounts around, so if that bugs you...keep on... More

Spent way too long hiking the trails near pictured rocks and finally got to the parking lot starving and thirsty. A quick trip to the Bear Trap produced a fun waitress and good food (although they had run out of pasties). Good drinks too although the selection is limited. Steak was cooked perfectly and the warm bread held us over... More

We stopped here on the way to Munising. Not always sure what you'll get at an off-the-beaten-path restaurant, and were quite pleased and glad we stopped. The cole slaw and pastie are soooo good. Also had the homemade cream of mushroom soup and the flavor was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and went made us feel like we were... More

Stopped in after seeing several favorable Tripadvisor reviews. We pulled up and the building is old outside and looked a bit dirty, but we thought maybe the inside would be better. It was a bit better but not much. The seat we sat in was torn up and the overall appearance was rundown and a bit dirty. Still my husband... More
