My husband and I really appreciate unusual menus with unique and creative items- this is the place! Everything we had was amazing! The service was perfect and I cannot wait to go back next time we are in TC.

Visited Sept. 22nd., and were greatly disappointed. We are a "meat and potatoes" community, so "exotoxic" ingredients such as " keef, pigs ears, chimichuri, chicken mushrooms, & kimchi" left us puzzled as to selections. Coupled with a demolition worthy facility?, stifling heat, conversation limiting noise,...More

I visited the Cook's House with my friend last week and had a fantastic meal. We both had the 5 course tasting menu. My friend opted for the wine pairings as well. The dishes were creative and the portions were surprisingly generous for a tasting...More

From start to finish, this place far exceeded my expectations. The menu was simple, yet some of the best flavors I've ever had. Order as many apps as you can, they're all fantastic. The cheese board and smoked chub were my favorites.

We had dinner at Cooks' House last week while on vacation. Each of the four of us ordered a different entree (fish, brisket, duck) and we all found our dish to be a delicate balance of interesting flavors and cooked to perfection. The menu is...More

We both found the 5 courses to be too much food to clean every plate but each dish was so unique and delicious it was hard not to want to try. Pretty pricey but if you value an adventure in unique culinary delights you will...More

I visited Cooks' House on the recommendation of a friend, who suggested I try the tasting menu. That menu on that evening didn't really catch my eye, so I ordered a la carte. The food courses were a little uneven. My appetizer was gemelli pasta...More

We went here for a casual family dinner; me and my husband got the 5 course wine pairing and my two young kids got the chicken salad and the brisket. It was wonderful, the squash creme brûlée was great as was the whitefish. My kids...More

Unfortunately the meal didn't live up to the hype. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a place I would send people or plan another meal. We were there on what might have been the hottest day of the summer (so far) and found out there's...More

This was our third visit to Cooks' House in the past several years, and our best yet. First advice is it is worth splurging for the seven-course meal to truly appreciate the range of the menu. And it averages out to about $10 per course,...More

Probably not, unless they reserved the whole place, it's small.

No. In most restaurants in Traverse City you will see all types of dress. When I am going there, it is usually a special occasion, so I'm dressed up anyway. But there isn't a jacket requirement or anything, and... More
