Our table on the patio afforded us a gorgeous view of the water and the setting sun. Our food was quite good. The lively Memorial Day crowd was enjoying the night. The only drawback was a large group at the table next to us who let their kids run wild. It was like being at somebody else's family picnic. Not... More

The Boathouse has everything. Great service. Issac was Five Stars, the best waiter I have had in a long time, and very professional. Food, perfect. The mushroom soup was to die for, oysters super fresh, and the lobster roll was good and an excellent portion of food. Location, we ate on the deck, off the beach, water and marina. Our... More

Three couples each had outstanding meals. We ordered appetizers including raclette cheese from Leelanau Cheese Company which was melted with potatoes. Too many potatoes in fact. They diluted the flavor of that delicious cheese. So in other words, get something else. The price is too high for a potato appetizer. Everything else was superb!

Fantastic variety of food, fantastic service, fantastic setting made our Easter brunch very special for our family. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, the peel and eat shrimp were large, and the raw oysters were enjoyed by some. The desserts were very tasty. Our waiter frequently visited our table to see if we needed anything.

Great Great Great Love the choices and the quality. The seafood bar is less accessible that previous years but the quality is good. Great deserts. Water view of the Bay is beautiful from whole restaurant. A special event place. $$$$$/$$$$$

Visiting Mission Peninsula in Fall is a highlight by any yardstick. There's icing to be had on that visceral cake and it is found if you book a table at The Boathouse. For us it is a perfect combination of stellar service that rivals that of the memorable meals we have had in New York, San Francisco, Rome, Cologne and... More

From the outside, this place does not look very special. It is quite different when you get inside. If you can book an outside table at sunset. It's spectacular! We did a 5 course chef's menu with wine tastings for my birthday and it was amazing. The service was impeccable.

This restaurant was lovely. The food was good, although not spectacular. Maybe our expectations were high given the price of the meals. The service was excellent, almost too much so unless you like that kind of thing! Very pretty view of the bay.

We have eaten here several times and never had anything short of an amazing experience. Meat, seafood, appetizers... everything they serve is memorable and make sure to leave room for desert. Great deck views of Bowers Harbor and the little marina.

Quaint, impeccable service, awesome wine list including local, amazing food. That about sums up the boat house. This spot is a bit of a drive if you're staying at the Grand Traverse resort, maybe 30 mins. But well worth it. This is the quiet place you go to propose, celebrate a milestone birthday, anniversary, etc. I've been two or three... More
