Dairy Treat is a great place to walk or bike to in the middle of downtown Whitehall. They always have good service and great icecream. The addition of the rooftop seating is appreciated when busy.

This is one of our favorite ice cream places in Whitehall, because they have a roof top eating area. Fun to take your treat up top and watch the happenings of a small town from above. Good ice cream, lots of choices in sundaes, flurries, etc.

This has been a favoriate place for ice cream for decades. The recent new owner is responsive and friendly. Service, even when a long line, is quick. Seating is available on top of the shop, and along the curb.

The good: We went here specifically because they have Dole Whip (dairy-free option). We decided to have some protein before the ice cream so they offer pulled pork sandwich. It was good. The bad: The Dole Whip was served already partially thawed. I have Dole Whip all the time at home and it is usually so cold I get a... More

Enjoyed a brief stop for ice cream while passing through town. They had a nice variety and were willing to give baby cones to adults. (Not all places are good with that.) Pricing seemed inconsistent - some things, like specialty sundaes, seemed pretty high while others, like regular cones, were more in line with most summer ice cream places. Good... More

We enjoyed a little bit of everything. The kids had some prepackaged sponge bob ice cream, the husband a flurry, and me a chocolate covered frozen banana. Even though there was a crowd waiting for ice cream the wait did not seem long. We really enjoyed the rooftop seating while we ate.

My family and I visited this ice cream about early to mid afternoon during a weekday, and opted to eat right out in front of the store (I only noticed to stairs to the deck above the store after we had finished). The portions and prices were average, but the close proximity to the road (especially during the weekday when... More

It's been 35 years since I had an ice cream scooped by the Dairy Treat founder, Bill Hosticka, and it appears that nothing has changed. The portions in relation to the price were L.A.M.E. My double-dip waffle cone was a joke. There is another place in Whitehall, although it doesn't have soft serve ice cream, which is what ALL the... More

Loved it, Took our kids to the Dairy Treat on our vacation. You can sit on the top of the buliding. Staircase leads you up there to relax with your family. Great choices for icecream. Something for everyone. We enjoyed it and would go again.

Thank Allison W
