Visited as a family and had a great time from start to finish. Fantastic authentic tacos. The salsa was so delicious that my 1 1/2 year old ate it with a spoon and we had to ask for more. Tamales were just okay but we will definitely be back for the tacos again very soon.

Aside from the waiting over An hour for our cold food. Half an hour for salsa, paying 2.00 for chips and salsa, the food was extremely bland. Poured their hot salsa on it to give any taste. The alahambro was supposed to jalepeneos in the meal, had to ask for them. Very bland. Service was inattentive at best. Oh, they... More

Wow! The food was awesome. We usually go to another Mexican restaurant in Traverse City. Went last month and so disappointed that we decided to go elsewhere. This place was right by our favorite hotel. My husband had enchiladas. They weren't huge. He enjoyed them. The beans were probably the best we ever have had. I had the chicken thighs... More

Our favorite is the carne tacos but the chips are homemade and the salsas are wonderful - eat in or take out, it's all great.

Authentic. Excellent chips and salsa! Location is unusual, but worth the drive. Friendly staff. Not spicy, but you can ask them to turn on the heat. Only Pop or Yea, so have your Margaritas before you go. Maybe, in the future, they will get a license to serve alcohol. Don't overlook the selection of Spanish pop. The Pineapple is a... More

You pay a bit more here but it's worth the price. We always stop here whenever we are in Traverse City. We travel Central America a lot and it is very rewarding to find a restaurant that serves tipico food that hasn't been "Tex-Mex'd" Very goo d food, friendly servers and you definitely do not walk away hungry.
