Italian restaurant although well known also for its meat offerings. Restaurant offers both, indoor and outdoor seating areas. Service was great: there was always someone replenishing the water and making sure everything we requested was delivered in a timely fashion. Food was OK. We had...More

Had a party of 7 the other night. Great atmosphere. Food was good but could have been better if SERVER would listen and write down orders. A party of 7 is too many to try and remember. Thus, we had orders that were screwed up....More

A Saturday evening with a nice couple and perfect weather. Too bad the food was below average. Chicken parmigiana was very salty and inedible. My friends had halibut which arrived saturated. Service was adequate and friendly. I will try it again some day.

Went with another couple and sat outside in the covered patio area. We hadn't been in a long time since they moved to the new location. Bread and oil brought out to start was yummy! I ordered mushroom risotto which was excellent! Cooked perfectly, lots...More

The osso bucco with saffron risotto was fantastic. Our server was great. However my wife's filet was tough and her lobster was delicious. That being said another person at our table said their filet was perfect.

The bread served as we waited for our salad may just be the best I've ever had... We shared a (huge!, $10) caesar salad--strong flavor, but very good. (Appreciate that waiter split it table-side for us.) Husband had a large porchetta sandwich ($14), served with...More

Business casual for the most part. It's really such a wide range...some are super casual some dress up. Volare just wants you comfortable, so casual is fine with us! Thank you!!

Award-winning chef/owner Dino Grossi and his family opened Volare Ristorante in the Fall of 2004. Located in the heart of the new downtown Wixom city center, this restaurant features a dramatic interior rich in texture and color. The philosophy is simple: use the best ingredients as simply as possible and serve them with joy and passion. As a Tuscan cooks in Chianti, as a Neapolitan cooks on the Amalfi coast, as a Sicilian cooks in Palermo, at Volare we cook as an Italian might, in the truest sense. We import pasta, Parmigiano Reggiano, balsamic vinegar, sea salt and Prosciutto San Daniele because they are so distinct and virtually indispensable to the creation of a great Italian meal. We fervently believe in the inherent quality, freshness and greatness of our regions' ingredients, purchased from predominantly organic, farmers and friends. Our cheeses come from all over Italy. Our wine list is predominantly Italian, in celebration of the quality and diversity of Italian grape varietals and vinification. Volare Ristorante offers a memorable dining experience of impeccable Italian cuisine, and we have assembled a passionate team that possesses a combination of talent and experience. Volare is our interpretation of the best we have come to know in the Italian culture of family where it is best and most often celebrated, at the dinner table.
