5 stars. On my favorites list. Top 5. Great steaks and Italian food, desserts. The service was excellent. Finding it was rather difficult the first time as signage did not face the road. Parking is a bit of a challenge as well. It's on the expensive side so I recommend going for more special occasions. I believe reservations can be... More

Brought an important customer in from Boston to have 2 Halibut dishes burnt, replaced, then reserved them super rare and cold. Menu listed a wine which is known as a better year then tried to serve a different year. Not a good experience for us. Our waitress was wonderful. We went across the street to Wixom Station for dessert and... More

The good - reservation was easy and needed....we saw a lot of people turned away from door. The food was good - highly recommend the gnocci and the brussel sprout side dish. Nice covered outdoor seating area. The not so good - waitress did not list the specials, the menu did not mention any sides on entrees or that they... More

When my husband and I arrived I told the hostess that we had a reservation. She didn't ask for a name or anything, and proceeded to walk us over to a very small booth. I looked at the booth knowing that four of us wouldn't fit there. I told her there were four of us for the reservation. No apologies,... More

Went here last night for my Husband 50th birthday. We had reservations for a party of 6 which included our 9 year old son, who can handle himself very responsibly in such restaurants but doesn't have a big appetite. I made the reservations through opentable.com. In the comments I mentioned that it was husbands birthday and if there was anything... More

Husband and I met our daughter and her fiance for dinner. Not sure if reservations are required but we used Open Table to secure a time. Initial thoughts upon entering were that this was a fine dining experience: white linens, wine glasses and plates waiting on each table. We were concerned we might be under-dressed in jeans with collared shirts... More

White table cloths , attentive servers and broad offerings of Italian dishes welcomed us to this mid afternoon lunch . We started with the mozzarella buffala caprese. We dine on the salmon entree and the seared ahi Tuna salad. The warm bread with Italian olive oil was an added bonus.

Personable staff serving delicious Italian food! Many favorites especially halibut. Pepperoni Pizza is the best and half price 4-6pm during the week along with half price house wine. Great minestrone soup!

The staff is great. The food was even better. If you are in the area for work, vacation, or just traveling through, I would definitely recommend stopping in. I have been going here for a couple years now and just now writing a review.

Description
Award-winning chef/owner Dino Grossi and his family opened Volare Ristorante in the Fall of 2004. Located in the heart of the new downtown Wixom city center, this restaurant features a dramatic interior rich in texture and color. The philosophy is simple: use the best ingredients as simply as possible and serve them with joy and passion. As a Tuscan cooks in Chianti, as a Neapolitan cooks on the Amalfi coast, as a Sicilian cooks in Palermo, at Volare we cook as an Italian might, in the truest sense. We import pasta, Parmigiano Reggiano, balsamic vinegar, sea salt and Prosciutto San Daniele because they are so distinct and virtually indispensable to the creation of a great Italian meal. We fervently believe in the inherent quality, freshness and greatness of our regions' ingredients, purchased from predominantly organic, farmers and friends. Our cheeses come from all over Italy. Our wine list is predominantly Italian, in celebration of the quality and diversity of Italian grape varietals and vinification. Volare Ristorante offers a memorable dining experience of impeccable Italian cuisine, and we have assembled a passionate team that possesses a combination of talent and experience. Volare is our interpretation of the best we have come to know in the Italian culture of family where it is best and most often celebrated, at the dinner table.
