Reviewed yesterday NEW

Having eaten here in the past and found it most acceptable, we chose it for my husband's birthday. We were initially disappointed in the Sunday menu - very limited. We all chose roast. My husband and his Mother made the mistake of ordering tea, it was so weak it was undrinkable. My husband and i had the roast turkey, which... More

We've always stopped in to this pub when we go past, but yesterday was my birthday so we all decided to have a late lunch here. I found the front of house unwelcoming but ignored it, we all ordered off the very limited menu, assuming it was top notch to have such a small choice. Even smaller choice being gluten... More

Food was OK, but not for the price, was happy to wait because it was all freshly cooked but for the price I'd have expected more. On a Sunday the competition is so vast and to be honest we could've got the same for a lot less, a mile up the road. We eat out every Sunday but this will... More

Stopped off on the way home from Falmouth. Ordered tiger prawn salad, pulled pork burger and children's fish fingers, my husband went to see where the food was as it was ages. The tiger prawn salad was a handful of salad leaves, cucumber and guacamole which had so much mustard in (not sure why) I couldn't eat it, £15.95 really not... More

It was a Friday night and we decided to try the Coventry Arms for dinner. We arrived at 8.25pm asking for a table for 2 but were told the restaurant had closed at 8.15pm due to staffing problems! We left without even buying a drink. We have been to this pub twice before and on each occasion the staff seemed... More

Ordered 3 roast beef dinners, beef was so chewy we couldn't eat it, not enough potatoes and vegetables for 1 let alone 3. When mentioned about the chewy beef we got offered complimentary desserts, which only one of us took the offer up. On paying the bill we still had to pay for the 3 roast dinners at full price.... We are extremely disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy our very popular Roast Beef. The portion size is usually more than adequate but extra vegetables are always available. We pride ourselves on our returning customers and really hope that you will try us again in the future More

Lovely rustic pub with tasty food and cute seating in tents if so wished. Comfy seating and cosy with large fire pit in centre of pub.

A group of 10 of us really enjoyed a great private dinning experience in one of the three large bell tents. It was mid November and we were there for an evening meal. It wasn't cold at all because of the cosy log burner. Food was great and overall a great experience which I would recommend. Staff were also very... More
