This place was packed last night! The best part was they were offering 3 specials, finally!! They were out of the Mongchon, and I did not feel like Prime Rib, so I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna. It did not disappoint, yummy! I wish they would offer a special every weekend. Plus, Crystal our server was fabulous!

This is our favorite restaurant in the Lakes Region. We are fans because we like the classic supper club atmosphere and knowledgeable staff that knows when not to intrude. The wine list is interesting and the entrees are consistently reliable and with a light touch of unique. We enjoy the setting with lake views. It is wonderful for romance and... More

Granted it was New Year's Eve but not busy there...our service was great but I ordered a steak, medium-medium well. It came rare and the slight amount of hashbrowns were burnt. I had to send it back so I got a new pile (twice as much as the first time) and my steak was done but it took quite awhile... More

This is a Detroit Lakes must do gem. I would make reservations. If you are here for dinner at sunset bring your sunglasses, everyone else has! For starters the deviled eggs are perfect, I call them Goldilocks eggs, just right! The salads are fresh, crisp and delicious. I had the Crusted Walleye, Parmesan/Almond Crust, Hazelnut in a Butter Sauce. It... More

Had the prime rib at the Fireside on 12-09-16 and I must say it was literally like chewing shoe leather. I've had far better at other places at prices 1/3 of that which they charge at the Fireside. Can't speak for the view as it was dark. The service was fine, but not good enough to offset the terrible meal... More

I had dinner at the bar. The service was wonderful and the food was fabulous. Higher prices and not sure it's worth it, but still excellent food, service and view.

Higher end prices with beautiful view. Service was extremely slow for a Tuesday evening with just 2 - 3 tables in the restaurant.

3 of 4 at our table had Ribeye Steak. It was so tough you could hardly cut it. I left 3/4 of mine. My husband had the au gratin potatoes, very little cheese in them. The cheese soup was watered down. I did complain to the manager and received an apology and an $80 gift card. Our guests also received... More
