It has been a couple years since I've been here, but I try to eat at Pickwick every time I'm in Duluth. They serve the best prime rib I've every had. I have never been disappointed. You can cut it with a butter knife and it is full of flavor. Each time I visit, I tell myself I'm going to... More

This is not a place for an enjoyable dinner. It's sad when the highlight of the meal was the bread served before and with the dinner. It was a very nice ciabatta like bread. The ribs I ordered were terrible. The sauce was black in color and had no taste except for a overly black pepper seasoning. The ribs themselves... More

We ate here while on business in Duluth, at the recommendation of a local. It was a great choice. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was wonderful and the food was excellent. We each had a roasted beet salad with beef tenderloin, and I loved it. I had gone with the intention of having a steak, as that... More

The steak tender. Staff friendly but took FOREVER to get our food. Veggies I had were small squash and zucchini but it lacked flavor. Wild rice was ok. Bread was great. Steak was not over seasoned so that was good as it had a great taste in of itself. Not alot of parking available.

Have visited Duluth many times before and always said we wanted to eat here. Now we're sorry we waited so long. Food was tasty and plentiful. Good portions for the price. Server, Reba, was pleasant and attentive. Even brought our bill with our dessert as we had told her we were going to a show so she didn't want to... More

Lets take a step back in time to fine dining, Gentlemen, Ladies, post Prohibition. ( Although this establishment was in service long before) The smell of the charcoal grill captivates you before you even walk in the door. The early 1900's millwork gives you a feeling that you are in the lap of luxury. It is a step back when... More

For decades the Pickwick was known as Duluth's Finest Restaurant. But there was some concern a few years ago when the family that had owned the business decided to sell. Would the new owners be able to maintain that reputation? I am pleased to say they have. There are some excellent newcomers to the restaurant business in Duluth, but the... More

Ordered tenderloin tips that were chewy and a bit stringy, but manageable. When the waitress asked how things were and I told her, She encouraged me to ask for another plate. I did and the second cut was just great.

Description
The Pickwick is Duluth's landmark restaurant situated on the shore of Lake Superior. Best known for its steaks and seafood from the only indoor charcoal grill in the area. There are also great burgers and sandwiches for under $12. The banquet room accommodates up to 50 people and offers privacy for business or family occasions. The bar has been restored to its 1940 layout offering an energetic atmosphere for all ages. Two happy hours - before dinner and late night - keep the bar hopping from 4am until close. The dining rooms bring back the history of the Pickwick which has been operating since 1914. Fine dining is at its best with our excellent serving staff along with the creations of Chef Jake Sutula. Reservations are accepted. Come see why the Pickwick has been Duluth's place to be for nearly a century!
