You might need to wait depending on what time you get there but usually not very long. the service is friendly and they get to know you and take pride in their reputation. The ribs are my favorite but the steaks and fish are also a good selection, Bread pudding for desert or the "Keys Cake" is another good choice.

This was the first place we found when we relocated here from Montana 24 years ago. Reminded us of home. Their food is always good and reasonably priced.

Good food, full bar and rustic atmosphere. On Hwy 97 east of Forest Lake. Try the 1/2 chicken and take some home. Or the walleye or ribs.

Great food. Broasted chicken and prime rib and burgers are very good. It seriously is a log cabin atmosphere. Always busy with local traffic so make reservations.

Based on Trip Advisor's recommendations, I had dinner here when I was in town for a meeting. The restaurant is about 10-12 minutes south of the main downtown area, literally surrounded on 3 sides by woods. But when i drove into the parking lot at 5:20, there were a number of cars. Clearly, that's a good sign. There are several... More

My family was in town for a few days. In search of a restaurant without a reservation, we eventually got to the Old Log Cabin (unplanned). The parking lot was full, so we were skeptical about getting in without some waiting. But we were seated right away, in a back room with another group joyfully celebrating something. The atmosphere was... More

Both the food and service was awesome! It's a casual and laid back atmosphere that always seems to be busy.

We always have a good meal and enjoy our time at the Old Log Cabin! I wish I could remember our favorite servers name because she is great(cute blonde who wears a flower in her hair)! Our only wish is they would change out iceberg lettuce for some nutritious greens and a couple specific gluten free options(like buns, bread or... More

Took my 14 year old grandson for lunch. Without any prompting from me he exclaimed, " wow, this is great. I give it five stars". Cheeseburger and chili special, 8.99.

Good and innovative soups, excellent prime rib and walleye, with fresh sides such as green beans and hearty potatoes. A few good wine selections.
