This is not a Tex-Mex restaurant. They offer dishes from all over Mexico. The flavored Mexican soda is wonderful - do try it. Our service was quick and friendly. Our entrees were good and offered a different flavor than typical Mex food - a nice change. The steak had a good flavor. We finished with a Flan and it was... More

Best mole sauce in town. When I'm not in the mood for mole, I usually get my enchiladas "Christmas" style with one red sauce and one green sauce. I also love their pineapple chipotle margarita. I usually get a pacifico to go with it as it is a little sweet. They used to have a agave jalapeño margarita that was... More

This place is a "Dining for Miles" place so I come to get Delta airlines miles. Food is usually quite good, although on today's visit got no chips and salsa to accompany meal, even after bartender asked if I wanted some... he was rushed so never got them. Oh well, I'll give them one one that, but it better not... More

Having driven by this place hundreds of times we finally checked it out only to discover that while it has an extensive menu, it is all rather standard fare. Started with rather flat tortilla chips and a very mediocre salsa. The menu has a few ceviches but everything else is rather standard fare. Chile rellenos, enchiladas, tacos, and anything else... Checked out this place out for lunch. Was disappointed from the beginning. The atmosphere is dreary and frankly, not a very clean looking restaurant. Food and drink not so good. My cheese Enchilada was cold and a notch above fast food. The margarita was too sweet and had a horrible, perfume like after taste. Won't be back.

Drinks are fantastic, food is authentic, prices are what they should be. See photos. One of the top Mexican restaurants in the twin cities and we have been just about everywhere. (We also love El Tejaban, Boca Chica.) Street parking on a Sunday was plentiful and we lucked out and got the one right in front of the restaurant but... More

Yes, Tex Mex is available here but friends tell me that the 3-4 page menu contains much more authentic Mexican food (I'm not Mexican). The room is attractive and there is a nice bar. But what brings you here - and I think should bring you back, is the food. Prices very reasonable. Came here for lunch one day. Vast... More

El Nuevo Rodeo has authentic Mexican food. Try the pickled spicy carrots to start. They have full service bar with bar seating. The neighborhood hasn't always been the best, but it's turning over and slowly getting better. Great prices, not expensive. You get a decent amount of food for the price. The paid parking stinks, but the food is worth... More

El Nuevo is my favorite Mexican resturant in town. The El Nuevo enchiladas are the best. Their salsas are very good and they make a mean margarita.

If you're looking for Tex-Mex, a variety of tacos, enchiladas, burritos and chimichangas with bland rice and beans, this place is not for you. For those looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine, from Oaxaca, then you've come to the right place. Great food, full of flavor, exotic ingredients. The tamales cooked in banana leaves were fabulous, both a spicy pork,... More
