Cafe Ena is a popular neighborhood location due to its ability consistently provide flavorful dishes of Latin influence. The only drawback is that it is densely packed with tables in a relatively small space.

We dined here recently with our three young adults. We are glad we made a reservation for 7:45 pm as it was completely full. This was the first good sign that this neighborhood establishment must be good. And it was. The food was very good, as was the service. We need more neighborhood gems like Cafe Ena than the boring... What a great find in South Minneapolis. Supurb service and atmosphere and the food is exceptional. We had the best empanadas I have had in ages. Wonderful Latin Fusion food. Really can't recommend them enough - unless you choose to try LaFresca or Rincon 38. These are all sister restaurants and we've tried them all. Each a great choice and... More

The staff was wonderful - we arrived at 5:30 and had the place almost to ourselves. We were told the guacamole was extra special and it really was - the flavor and presentation were very special. The decor is beautiful and you can see how talented the chef is. The steak was wonderful and so was the pork.

We always have a wonderful dinner at Cafe Ena, the Twin Cities has so many great restaurants and this is certainly one of those. We enjoyed ceviche which was all that advertised plus lots of small octopus, extremely large portion and excellently flavored to the last bite. For entrees we had sea bass and grouper, well prepared and presented, Hector... More

I have enjoyed sharing this fabulous restaurant with everyone!! This great restaurant is always my first recommendation to my Airbnb guests.....not just because it is in my neighborhood, but the food, wine and ambiance are terrific! A really memorable experience those of us who live nearby, and for those traveling through!

This Little neighborhood restaurant has become a hub for diners and especially for foodies. The atmosphere, the food and the very special service makes this a treat for anyone visiting the Twin Cities

We've had some absolutely wonderful meals at Café Ena, particularly when we first started going there a few years ago. I once had a roast duck there that was the best I've had -- just the right balance of crisp skin with a dash of spice and sweetness and perfect sides. More recently, the meals have been good, but uninspired... More

Description
Chef/Owner Hector Ruiz welcomes you to Cafe Ena: A cozy intimate restaurant located in the tangletown neighborhood in south Minneapolis. Chef Ruiz pares his classic French technique and South American palate to present an exciting menu of Latin-Fusion cuisine. Begin your meal with a south american style ceviche, shrimp, fish, scallops and shrimp in a aji sauce. The many entrees include, scallops, halibut, pork tenderloin, Argentinean style steaks finished in a savory chimichurri. The wine list focuses on a wide range of varietals from Central and South America. Weekly Wine Flights are a great opportunity to sample the many styles offered on the list. If wine is not your thing, perhaps you would enjoy one of the many cervesas, always served in a frosty mug with a lime.
