This place has pretty good food, maybe a little over priced. The big problem is the building inside hasn't been updated dated since the Kennedy administration. Really needs new carpeting and paint.

This antiqued dining establishment missed the mark by a mile and a half. Never have I experienced such a bad dining experience at a locally owned seafood restaurant. Their seafood was inedible, not much better than a cheap seafood chain. Everything on the menu was overpriced, more downtown Minneapolis fine dining, without the fine dining expeience. Service was just adequate,... More

Went for dinner on the deck with a group for the waterski show. Amanda was our waitress and once again she was fantastic. She made everyone feel very welcome and went out of her way to make the occasion a special one with her attentive service and great attitude. Starters and salad bar are always good. The only comment is... More

We had a very nice evening here. Reading other reviews, it would seem this is not the same place we visited. I definitely would recommend this restaurant. The salad bar is the best in the area. It has the variety I have not seen anywhere else in years. The veges were all very fresh and creamed herring wonderful. The menu... More

We went to try this restaurant because it is situated on the water and has a deck overlooking the river. After waiting for a bit to be seated on a not-very-busy evening, we requested a table on the deck. The host told us the restaurant is a mom and pop place and they don't have to follow any corporate rules... More

The Fisherman's Inn we had dinner last year while watching the water ski show. Their salad bar is very good -- potato salad, pasta salad, creamed herring and salad with 4 kinds of dressing. Had the vegetable soup but didn't like it. Had a spice which we couldn't define. Walleye and frog legs were very good.

Decent food...horrible waitress. Thrown into the middle of some room with no view of the lake. Apparently you need reservations for that. It's a supper club but had to beg for the garlic toast, veggie tray, etc to start out with. Had one beer in 2 hours since she was overwhelmed with the 3 tables she had. Seriously took 20... More

It had been years since was last had dinner at Fisherman's Inn. The reason was the last time we were there it was pretty bad. But recently we heard from some friends that had been to Fisherman's Inn and they said it was really good. So for Valentines Day we made evening dinner reservations. Well from the outside not much... The Fisherman's Inn over looks the Zumbro River in Oronoco and is about 90 miles south of the Twin cities and well worth the scenic drive. During the winter months they open at 5 pm, which is too dark to enjoy the view, but the food is good. On Sundays and holidays they are usually open at 11 am and... More

Today a group of us went to FI to try out the Sunday brunch. It was very good! They had a nice selection of items. Waffles, French toast, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, bread pudding, ham, swordfish, mashed potatoes, made to order omelets, cinnamon rolls, fruits, assorted desserts, salmon and the full salad bar. There is an option to add... More
