Went for a late dinner after a Saturday event. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. Chips and salsa arrived quickly and were later replenished. My husband had a quesadilla and I had a burger. An odd choice at a Mexican restaurant, indeed, but it was delicious!! Drinks were good also and our service was great.

Food was good, especially the white cheese sauce appetizer. One margarita was enough for me...strong! Our waiter gave us plenty of attention even though the hotel was busy

Love the salsa, could drink it by the gallon!! The menu has a good variety and the food is presented nicely, which just makes it taste better. I've fallen in love with the chicken tacos, so it's hard to want to try other things! And the rice fantastic. They have an extensive selection of tequilas, too. There's a large patio... More

Last night I dined with three friends for dinner. At 9:15, our waitress approached us and let us know they were now closed. We were surprised, because we glanced over by the bar and there were still people eating. Furthermore, we pulled up their website and it stated 10pm closing time. Our waitress then told us (literally) to "not believe... More

The chips are good, salsa is different but tasty. The rice is sweetened and not what I like, but others with me really liked it. The service was perfect for a so-so busy night. We were checked on appropriately but left alone to talk and enjoy the evening also. I do want to recommend the drinks though. Margaritas are wonderful... More

Sat at a booth to have a light lunch. Ordered a ginger ale and a bowl of tortilla soup. Meanwhile, munched on their chips and salsa. Fairly standard. The ginger ale was delicious and the soup was a nice warm treat on a bitter cold day. Really like this place. Will be back for dinner soon.

Rojo is big, classy and new. The west end location is much nicer than the Roseville store that is sorely in need of renovation. The decor is more steak house than Mexican but it is impressive. There's not really much that's Mexican about the place. I saw no Hispanics working in customer contact positions. It's a little weird being served... More

My wife and I joined another couple for lunch before our planned afternoon at the movie theater. Rojo's has a nice lunch menu and, judging by the crowd, we were not the only ones that think so. They offer a half-torta (sandwich) with a cup of soup and three out of the four of us opted for the combo. We... More

We have visited the Rojo in a different part of town, so were familiar with the menu and service. They were very busy, but we had a table in less than 15 minutes. As expected, the service was fast and efficient. My Fajitas were not cooked all the way through, but the rest of my meal was excellent.

Our group of six went for lunch on a Tuesday. It was not busy, so I expected a much better experience and food. The food had no flavor, poor presentation, was over-priced, and small portions. Our server did not even try to be friendly. I expected much more from a West End establishment.
