Left a message to make a reservation and received a call back even though they were closed. My daughter and I had a table by the front window and the window box contains a fairy house complete with tea setting as well as flowers. Tea...choices were wonderful and food was delicious and beautifully served. My daughter and I have gone to tea shops all over the US, Canada and the UK and this is among our top 5.More

I called in May to make a reservation for July 1. I was told we were confirmed for 6 ppl at noon. I called early the week of when we were supposed to go to confirm the date and time and was told that they...are closed the weekend before the 4th of July. The person I spoke with was unapologetic for not contacting us regarding the change of their hours and that they would now not be able to have us for tea on the 1st. I have visited this tea room at least once per year for special occasions and am sorry to say that I won't be back.More

I went with two friends to tea here, and it was lovely. My one complaint was that reservations absolutely have to be made, and it's not exactly easy to make them. It took an email and then playing phone tag to get it done. Despite...that, we were seated immediately. We each had the tea sampler, which came with a pot of tea, sandwiches, scones, fruit, and a desert. We did have to ask for more clotted cream and jam, but everything was delightful, and for the most part, they left us alone to talk. I think that the good parts of the visit were the selection of teas, the lovely table settings, and the food. The not-so-good parts of the visit were the reservation process and the amount of clotted cream and jam served for 3 people (it was really one serving). Overall, I will return if I don't have as much difficulty making reservations.More

Big pots of tea for my daughter and myself, so many tea choices to select from. We would have preferred smaller pots with an opportunity to sample up to 3 different teas - maybe they could consider this for the future as an option for...guests. The tea sampler was an adequate amount of food, with huge blueberry-lemon scones served with creme fraiche and lemon curd, as well as 4 quarters of egg salad finger sandwiches, ham-wrapped pieces of asparagus, a quartered strawberry and a few grapes, along with 2 cookies and 2 brownies for $18.00 per person. The server was quite knowledgeable and friendly. We bought some tea in the gift shop from the nice gentleman there. I would recommend going there, but keep in mind that parking is a challenge, especially in the back of the building.More

I have been a long-time patron of this favorite tea room. Their extensive tea selection and scones are worth the long drive. The parlor tea is competitively priced. Since the business came under new ownership I have seen unfavorable reviews with just cause. I decided...to kindly contact the owner in late Feb, 2016, making suggestions regarding authentic tea desserts and received a gracious reply with their agreement to begin this change. Friends and I had a March tea and noted that aside from a brownie, madeline and little eclair there was now a delicious lemon dessert included. We plan to go back for an April tea as well to see what else is new. The presentation of the tea is still quite lovely, the scones are generous in portion and well-made. The new owner is motivated to keep long-time customers. While I think there continues to be room for improvement (e.g. the servers should be familiar with all the teas so to offer an opinion and should also be able to explain what is being served), the tea room itself is a gem and for this tea lover the selection is unique and appreciated.More

We have enjoyed tea here several times and always enjoyed it immensely. This was when the former owners had charge. After the ownership changed I've noticed a decline in food quality and service. The servers are slow and/or have to be reminded to bring more water...or additional cream, etc. Even though it is expensive, I was willing to drive and suffer thru poor parking to enjoy the gluten free option in the past. But, alas, I'm not willing to spend that kind of $ any more. I hope things get back up to snuff here soon!More

Wonderful, quaint experience at the Tea Room. The tea selection was wonderful and it was a bonus to visit the gift shop and read descriptions (and sniff!) all the tea varieties before we got in for our reservation. Loved the chai varieties and the fact...that they label their most popular varieties to help you choose. The food was wonderful too. Small intimate room with about 6-7 tables enhanced the experience. Parking was a little challenging, especially in the winter.More

Cute room and table set-up, and excellent tea with many, many varieties. Something for everyone. The food, however, was the worst. Everything tasted dry and stale - the spinach and cheese frittata was cold, the pumpernickel sandwich had a smear of chicken salad, and the...cucumber on white bread had a smear of pineapple cream cheese (no doubt purchased in the dairy case at the local store). The scone was huge and dry, tasting like it had been made from bisquick. Finally, the desserts were awful - an unadorned, bland brownie, a macaroon cookie (the type sold in a box, like vanilla wafers), a little meringue (purchased variety), and a dried, stale madeleine. Do not go here for the food! I would suggest going across the street to the Finnish Bakery and purchasing a nice tea and a sweet. The ambiance isn't as cute, but the food is hugely better than Lady Elegant's. Did I say that the price here was outrageous for what you get? Very poor value.More

This tiny tea room is located in the quaint neighborhood of St. Anthony Village, right next door to Muffuletta. We brought my Mom here for her birthday. We waited about ten minutes for someone in the tea shop to appear and ready to seat us....I had pre-ordered the parlor tea with one gluten free. It had been a long drive and we were parched, so we immediately asked for water as we were being seated. Our server handed us tea menus and then disappeared. When she came back, she did not have the water, and took our tea order. About 20 minutes later, she reappeared with two others to deliver our tea, and again, no water, so we asked once more. A few more minutes go by and she finally reappeared with a pitcher and four glasses. 30 minutes to get water - really?? It was the first thing we asked for and it was not very busy. The tea was excellent however, as was the potato soup. The parlor tower of finger sandwiches, scones and cookies was OK, not great. The tea shop is cute and we did make some purchases on our way out, and the gentleman behind the register was very nice.More

My best friend and I have been coming here for years, both of us now driving 30-45 minutes for this special experiences. However Lady elegant has sold the store to new owners. The cute little deserts that come with the expensive tea are now replaced...by package goods. The special never had before deserts by hand like sugar plums have disappeared. The soups that were amazing have been replaced with subpar fritatas. The waitress did not tend to us as before and the first pot of tea my friend got was dirty water not tea.More
