I'm a local and somewhat hesitant to share this review because I selfishly want to keep it secret. Seriously, go.

Wow, not sure how this place stayed under our radar but no more! Food was wonderful and we all commented on how great the service was compared to other places we have been recently. They had a nice reasonably priced wine list and their handcrafted cocktails were tasty. I would like to replicate the old fashioned at home. We enjoyed... More

Everything from service, food, wine, patio.....perfect. The inside ambiance is ok, but the patio is really nice. Service was great, attentive not pushy, suggestive, and spot on. Matt was great Food.....Gnocchi to start was the best I've had, pecorino sauce unreal Bread....warm, nice crust, herbed butter Side....radish confit, interesting, recommend Filet special and pork chop for dinner. We were treated to a dinner here by friends who were familiar with the restaurant. Great choice! While they do serve seasonal, fresh food, there seem to be favorites that stay on the menu. The lobster salad was divine. I'd go back just to have that...We also sampled lobster toast- I had 2 of the 4 myself. I just couldn't... More

We had a tremendously disappointing visit to Joan's in the Park. Overpriced options (for what you get), rude and inattentive waitstaff, and very ordinary food. I am not sure why such higher reviews (perhaps low expectations?).

We have been to Joan's numerous times and have had a tremendous experience every time! The staff is warm and welcoming and treat us like family. The food has been consistently spectacular each time. The corn dumplings and crunchy shrimp appetizer is one of my favorites and is gluten free to boot. The steaks are amazing and prepared exactly to... More

This restaurant is small. The tables are fairly close together, so it isn't particularly quiet, but you can still hold a conversation without yelling. You're going to spend some money, but the food and service are just excellent. Every dish is attractive and delicious, and the staff are attentive and helpful. I can't afford to go often, but as a... A return trip for me. The steak tartare with truffle oil is a delight. The beef cheeks are quite simply beef butter, melt in your mouth deliciousness. Added the kale salad along with an Italian cabernet. Quite simply fabulous.
