The restaurant is very cozy and quaint. The appetizers were excellent. I would recommend the cap mushrooms. We all ordered different dishes and the pasta was 👍 great. Good service and nice cloth tablecloths/napkins and lighting.
We chose Carmelo's based on past experience which has been wonderful. This time however we were made to wait what seemed like an hour before ordering. Granted, it was a busy Saturday night, however, a little empathy or communication from the servers may have made...More
Simple cozy place, which we like and so we will give it a second chance. The biggest problem was the food, but since other reviews are good, maybe we had a poorly trained back-up cook or maybe we chose the wrong dishes. Mom's dish was...More

What a great place! Visited here during my first trip to the Twin Cities. The staff is absolutely a joy, and the food was delicious. Ambiance was nice and cozy. Overall I had a wonderful time. Thanks!

Warm and cozy neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. Somewhat limited menu compared to many other places but plenty to choose. Excellently prepared and served with competent and attentive staff. A gem. This was first visit but plan to return again and again.
I do not agree with the other reviewers. I have always had great food here. Sometimes the service isn't great but the quality of the food has been.
