This is a classic Jewish style neighborhood deli. The deli is in the front and the restaurant/seating area is in the back. We went with friends because it is one of their favorite places to go for lunch. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich. I need to preface this by saying I love Reuben sandwiches but am fussy about the corned... More

I don't even look at the menu any more. Bring me the Reuben. It is to die for. The bread is fresh, the corned beef moist and the sauerkraut is just tart enough.

We were in Minnesota vising and went with some friends who live in the area and knew about Cecil's. We were there on a Friday for lunch. It was busy but didn't wait long for a table. Menu was amazing. Some deli favorites, some new combinations but something for everyone. Staff was fun and attentive. Wish we lived closer. Would... More

Whenever I'm near I have to stop! Everything at Cecil's I would recommend! Their creamy cole slaw is my absolute favorite! Make sure to eat at the restaurant but if you don't have time stop at the deli counter and select a sweet treat like a Hamantaschen! Enjoy

It's clear that newbies and regulars alike enjoy Cecil's. It's a quaint little place with some grocery items, deli, bakery, and a restaurant. It's pretty low key, nothing fancy and clean as can be. The service was great and the menu was long. I had a Reuben on rye and it was great. Potato salad on the side. We got... More

This is a typical Jewish deli - with the meat counter and bakery up in front and in the rear of the store an unfancy bunch of tables and chairs jammed in and busy. Great food, had the chicken matzoball soup with a cornbeef on rye sandwich with coleslaw - large enough to split the sandwich with my wife and... More

This place never impressed me, but a friend took me to to nosh and buy some kishka. There was no service! Had to find some grossly obese wait per to get a menu and then wait and wait until manager took the order and that was the end of seeing any wait people. Would have had some pie, but no... More

This place is tiny, but the turn is fast, so I've never had to wait long to be seated. I've always had the same staff take my order, and I just marvel at his efficiency. I always get the same menu item, the chopped chicken liver sandwich on pumpernickel. Note that the horseradish that automatically arrives with the sandwich is... More

Cecil's is the place for the best Reuben in town, the best pumpernickel bread, cold cuts, etc.. Its going to be busy, you're probably going to wait a few minutes and I know you're going to have a fabulous meal.

If you are in Highland, you need to check out Cecils. Been around for decades and is sort of a one-of-a-kind restaurant. Super good deli!
