This place is tiny, but the turn is fast, so I've never had to wait long to be seated. I've always had the same staff take my order, and I just marvel at his efficiency. I always get the same menu item, the chopped chicken liver sandwich on pumpernickel. Note that the horseradish that automatically arrives with the sandwich is... More

Cecil's is the place for the best Reuben in town, the best pumpernickel bread, cold cuts, etc.. Its going to be busy, you're probably going to wait a few minutes and I know you're going to have a fabulous meal.

If you are in Highland, you need to check out Cecils. Been around for decades and is sort of a one-of-a-kind restaurant. Super good deli!

Cecil's Deli is a unique oasis in St. Paul, with a small deli store in the front and cozy diner in the back. I've lived in MN for 37 years, but never ventured into Cecil's. My husband and I went in the day after Christmas. The diner was very busy. It's no nonsense. We got our menus and ordered quickly.... More

Wonderful food-----always. Restaurant is small so you may have to wait but WOW....so worth it. Stop by the deli when you leave and grab some pastrami to go.

This isn't a fancy place. It's a neighborhood deli that draws in people from neighborhoods all around the Twin Cities. Not a fancy place. Picture tile floors and formica table tops. The wait staff is a bit out the loud side... but this all adds to the charm of the place and you get some great sandwiches here. Pastrami or... More

Visited home (St Paul) with family. Had the opportunity to pick up lunch at Cecil's for myself and friends. OMG, closed my eyes and went back in time, the llavors are still there as well as the family that still runs it after all these years. It is worth you time to visit St. Paul

My sister and I stopped in on our way to Park Square Theater. Reviews stated they were famous for their Reubens. They had six different ones to choose from. We decided to try the Reg Reuben and a Russian Reuben. They were so delicious. We are already planning our next visit!

You know a delicatessen is good when the decor is 70's style bland functional yet still gets great reviews. What they lack in appearance they make up for in good old fashioned comfort food. I had the Sasha which is hot Pastrami on toasted marble rye with bird sauce and Swiss cheese. With amazing potato salad made with hard-boiled egg.... More

We googled the best deli in the metro area and Cecils was at the top of the list. We had never heard of it before so we went and we will go back. Nice menu and our lunch choices were super.

Thank ken h
