The diner is small and parking a bit of challenge, not much off street parking. But food was excellent at least for breakfast as, we did not there during lunch. Portion size was great. The pricing is about the norm for in the city dining.

I had a groupon for here to try it. We were surprised at the huge amount of food! I had the Northwoods omelet and my fiancée had the eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes with ham. It was very quick service and friendly staff! This place is very small and fills up fast.

I have been eating at the uptowner for 28 years! Ya ya the millennials act like this place just opened and No I am not old and stupid😃. I will bring anyone and everyone here because the food ROCKS! My choice is almost always the Cajun breakfast add the andouille sausage and you have a feast that rivals thanksgiving dinner.... More

We sat at the counter and watch the massive amount the fry cook managed for a full restaurant, medium size menu

We waited a bit for a table on Labor Day but the egg-cellent service delivered by Tori and our egg-cellent breakfasts made the wait worthwhile. The ambiance is kinda cool with drawings hanging on the walls but it was very hot and humid once we were seated in our booth. Laurie enjoyed the Cajun Breakfast and ended up taking about... More

I had the grilled ham and cheese... Which is made with REAL cheddar! It was delicious. Hash browns are homemade and also delicious. My daughter had hasbrowns, bacon, and and egg from the kids menu... Also delicious! It also came super quick! Will be back again for sure! Here's a pic but our food is almost gone!

If you're looking for a local diner that serves ok food after a long wait, served among a chaotic and disorganized staff, this is your place. The restaurant was hot without the AC and overall needed a desperate cleaning. The menu was good but again, sticky and dirty. Ice skates are needed if you dare venture to the restroom. The... More

I am incredibly sorry you had this experience, Stuart. Obviously, some of the issues we had were beyond our control and we made sure to remedy them immediately, such as the AC. While we may be a diner, we are not a greasy spoon. Our food reflects the higher quality and care that goes into each meal. Our kitchen is... More

We went here on a weekday morning, later but before lunch. The restaurant was busy enough but not crazy. We both had coffee ($2.95 ea). We had Biscuits 'N Gravy ($10.95). The gravy had a good flavor but the biscuits were really burned. It affected the overall flavor. I don't understand why burned food (that was obviously burned over a... More

Thanks for checking us out. We love cooking great breakfasts, so we're thrilled you love the hashbrowns, but we're sorry the biscuits were burned. Did you let your server know? We would have been more than happy to correct the issue. We do our best to ensure we have a clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. However, in such a small... More

This diner serves up delicious food very quickly at very reasonable prices. I had a cinnamon batter pancake with thick-cut bacon, and my husband had scrambled eggs with hash browns. Everything was great, including the service. The decor is not much to look at, but the walls were decorated with children's drawings, which was a fun touch.

Thanks for coming in! Cinnamon pancake is a great choice, especially if this was your first time dining with us. We love hanging up children's drawings. We're always adding new ones. It keeps the place feeling fresh. We look forward to seeing you again and making your next experience with us even better! Best, Uptowner Team More

I watched plate after plate come off the grill since I sat at the counter. This is definitely a share a plate type of place. Small but clearly where the locals go.
