After 2 super smooth flights from PHL, and ATL respectively, my Mom and Auntie Ann picked me up, and took me straight to Penn's Fish House for dinner... I had the 3 piece dinner(which equated to 3 whole fish) of fried catfish... Never seen it served liked that, but it just fell right off the bone.. Great catfish cooked here...... More

I used to frequent this restaurant alot. Now I would have to say I may visit every other year. The service is usually real dry. Ocassionaly you will get a peppy service member but they are overshadowed by the owner. Moving on.. everything is weighed. They want you to get what you ordered but nothing else. They weigh fish, fries,... More

We haven't eaten at Penn's in quite some time but were in the Flowood area for a conference and decided to stop in. DH got the fried catfish dinner with fries and cole slaw. I ordered the fried shrimp with fries and green beans. We also added some fried oysters to it. Everything was delicious. It took a few minutes... More

I like Penn's, I eat lunch here often, the regular size lunch is plenty for me, I ordered the large once but could not eat it all.

This place has many locations throughout the metro area. My favorite is the one out in the country, which I think was the original location near the Ross Barnett reservoir back waters (on the highway which connects Fannin and Canton- highway 43?). This one has a buffet that was tasty. The location on Old Fannin Road, I've only got to... More

So much friend food makes it hard to stay on my diet but they do have shrimp I can eat. It is always tasty.

My favorite is the fish and shrimp combination. Good Southern cooked catfish and fried shrimp with all the fixings is one fine dinner.

Frequented this local chain while in college. Some of the larger ones have a lunch buffet, but this particular one is semi-fast counter service only. When I do get back to eat here, I always choose my fav-the fried oyster platter. Large bivalves battered & fried just right. Get 2 h-puppies + 2 sides. Never gone wrong w/ any of... More

My wife and I love this place. We go about 2X monthly. Fried food is a guilty pleasure that you have to limit. There is no place I would rather use my 'fried' credits than Penn's. They have a good selection of fried fish items and their side dishes are excellent as well. To be honest sometimes its a craving... More

I, always, ask for thin pieces of fried catfish and love it. It is hot and comes with fries, hushpuppies, and cole slaw. You have choices on this. Also, I love their fried chicken salad...generous portion and choice of dressings. I ordered their sweet potato fries...so expensive for the small serving.
