We were disappointed. Either there's no competition in the area or the crowd eating lunch here has never tasted REAL food -- like fresh veggies. When I ordered at the counter, I assumed the daily special of chicken & dumplings would be homemade. Clearly it wasn't, as it tasted no better than Dinty Moore canned food. Most of the veggies... We ate here during a meeting in the Canton area and had a great lunch. Four of us all had different blue plates and all, were great. Each day has a different group of blue plate meats along with a host of side choices including a soup and salad option. The interior is a Texas cowboy motif. A highlight is every... More

Just passed through and probably haf the 2nd best fried chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. The greens and cabbage were great. Loved the home made fries and bread. Also, the employees had some great southern charm!

You can't beat the southern comfort food and make from scratch fresh baked bread with whipped butter. Gumbo is loaded with meat and is always a treat.

When shopping recently in Canton, we asked for recommendations for lunch. A shop owner suggested The Culinary Cowboy and we're glad she did. You just have to be aware of their short hours. It's basically a lunch venue. We arrived near closing time, but we were greeted and served with great courtesy. The menu changes by the day and includes... More

So a friend and I tried it. You walk in and maybe a waitress tells you that you just walk all the way to the back of the dining area and order. There sits a chalkboard that describes your 2 choices of meat and the sides that you can choose 2 from to complete your meal. The order-taker says if... More

We went there for lunch and had a great meal. The daily specials include a meat and two sides plus their homemade bread just out of the oven. If you hear the bell ring, be sure to jump to the counter to get a fresh loaf of warm bread!

They are the sister Co of Two Rivers steak & seafood restaurant next door (same owner). This place is open just for a few hours at lunch, then they close and Two Rivers opens at 5pm for supper. Two completely different atmospheres, food and prices! We spent $70 for two steaks at Two Rivers last night and, spent $25 on... More

First time i,have been to Canton. We were visiting the Nissan plant for a few days and our contact suggested this place for lunch. Being from the north, the selections seemed odd to me. But I was very surprised. Food was great at a low price, large portion. The bread is made fresh and when it's ready they slam it... More

One of my favorite places in the metro. Easily accessible & the food is amazing. Great service! The loaves are legendary!
