I came here with a foodie friend, who is an Illawarra local, and comes from a family of chefs. She takes her food seriously, and she chose this restaurant for our birthday dinner together. It was a considered choice. Also, for better or worse, I am married to a Thai food addict. It is his favourite cuisine. So I have been to Thai restaurants all over Australia and around the world. Well this Thai Restaurant is up there with the very best of great local Thais. Just wonderful... in a local classic suburban Thai restaurant kind of way. The service was delightful, the ambience warm and inviting, the flavours were superb. The Choo Chee Fish curry was sublime. And the restaurant was packed. No surprise at all. Highly recommended.

Excellent food available in lovely setting (COVID safe dine in now open

We missed this wonderful restaurant while it was closed for dine-in. It is a favourite of ours as it has an excellent range available in gluten free versions. Our party of seven was accommodated well spaced from other parties and the service was excellent and the food outstanding.

Best Thai food in the suburb Food was amazing especially the CHICKEN PAD THAI. I addressed one of the waitresses and asked for her name she replied ERIN, she is one of the most lovely girls I have met, she served me with a smile and brought me to have one of the best days of my life just by that sweet smile. I will definitely be back just for that gorgeous girl and amazing services.

Great food, but really slow service

The food is always excellent, however the service has been pretty bad the last few times we have visited. They use young teenage waitresses who seem to walk around with their eyes closed. We waited 20 mins and then flagged someone down so we could order and they said they would be right back then waited another 15 min before flagging down someone again and finally being able to order. They are always busy so they just need to put some extra staff on and do some customer service training. I'll come back again for sure but probably at 5pm when they open so I don't have to wait forever to eat.

We had takeaway dinner from Pai Tong. Cold, Greasy, tasteless!!!!

We had takeaway dinner from this restaurant last night. I attended the restaurant and ordered and waited for the food. I live about three minutes drive from this restaurant. The food was cold. The mixed entree of a curry puff, spring roll, money bag etc were cold and greasy and soft as they were put in a foil bag so when they were hot (not by the time I got them) the steam had made them soft. The Pra Ram Long Song was cold and did not have much peanut sauce on it so it just tasted like boiled chicken. The sizzling beef was at least hot as it was obviously the last thing that was cooked. All in all the meal was awful.

I don't normally respond to a bad review but this is totally rubbish! Your order came in at 5:28PM and then our kitchen started cooking straight away. Everything finished, packed and then handed in to you at 5:51PM which took only 23 minutes which is the reasonable time. Everything is recorded on the video camera and ready to be proved. What about the claim that you said you lived three minutes away from us. Do you have a proof for that? Did you go straight home and then eat straight away? Where is the proof? Why left the food for too long and then blame us senselessly like this? Why don't just call us so we can fix it for you? My suggestion, if you want the top quality of the food, please eat in at the shop and don't order the take away. There is no one that could satisfy your top standard.

Poor service

My family and I have been going here for years and the food is great. The last 3 times I have been though the service has been terrible. They are clearly giving priority to taking and giving takeaway orders over the people waiting at the tables. There are long waits before getting your food and in between courses. They interrupt taking your order to hand over takeaway food and answer the phone. Very disappointing.

Amazing Service, Great Food

I have been here multiple times and am always so impressed with the delicious food and the friendly environment. The waitresses are so lovely and honestly make my night. They are always down to have a chat and help with anything you could possibly need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Beautiful dinner both eat in and take away

Our regular for Thai and not disappointed, keep going back. Either the fam and I dropped in for dinner or take away, the food is amazing, loved each dish we order. Staff are friendly, always a great atmosphere when we eat in. Worth trying. Recommended.

Best Thai I’ve had in a long time!

So delicious! The food was amazing! The atmosphere was lovely! Service was quick. We had panang laska, crying tiger and spring rolls. Only thing I wish I could change was I would have ordered more! I wish I had take away left but I ate it all haha

Yummy Food with great service

Lovely host and yummy food. Won’t go wrong and vegi options available. Even though we didn’t book we were given a table, so highly recommend this place but please book in advance

Authentic Thai

Authentic Thai food with excellent customer service. Food is delicious and staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are good and we love the dishes. All curries are tasty

Thai tables need replacing

The Thai tables with shapely designed, aluminium facades do not allow patrons to fit their legs underneath as the seating is too high. Owner needs to get this addressed.

Really enjoyed our 3 visits to this restaurant! Stir fries, Laksa (yellow curry with fish fillets)q, coconut drink - all fantastic in an authentic Thai setting. And the prices are reasonable too! BYO appreciated
