My husband and I were invited to dinner at The Chimneys while he was in the area for meetings. I love the old house and the view . The steak was wonderful, as well as the Mississippi Mud Pie.

The service was great. The various menu choices of our party of four were excellent. This was our first time here but it won't be our last.

The food is consistently good, very nice old home style atmosphere, and ifs you don't mind the outside temperature sitting on that big porch outside is a great feeling.

Their baked seafood eggplant was the best appetizer I've ever had hands down. The oyster bisque was delightful and the blackened stuffed filet was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The key lime pie was a perfectly light and refreshing end to dinner!

Reservation are always good to have, but I have never needed them. I do not know about Thanksgiving, I've never been here during a Holiday so I do not know about that. Your best bet is to call then and ask about a Holiday... More

Casual, but nice. I wouldn't come straight from the beach, but a sun dress or dressy shorts or skirt would be fine.

Blow fly - sure you can wear shorts, not at Chimneys though. Much more upscale.
