What a spectacular Southern breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are terrific and the coffee is just good old fashioned coffee. There's nothing fancy about this, and the breakfast chow harkens back to a different time when hard physical work countered the effects of cholesterol-laded farm breakfast. I've had lots of fancier breakfasts, but none more genuine. I can't wait to... More

The Beacon is our go to place when attending Ole Miss games 4-5 Saturdays each fall. This past weekend, an 11:00 a.m. kickoff gave us the chance to eat breakfast there. It made having to get up and leave home at 4:30 worth it. As usual, service was fast and friendly. The pancakes were delicious and they brought plenty of... More

If you like looking at a wall of confederate flag and red necks this is the place to go. I was there once for a business meeting. They tried to be friendly but the signs of red neck is all over the place.

Love this locals place for breakfast! Service is friendly and fast. I ordered a simple bacon, eggs, potatoes, biscuits breakfast. Bacon is crispy! The potatoes are fried with onions and peppers. The biscuits are huge and fluffy...I'll get biscuits and gravy when I go back again.

We went here often as coeds in the 80s. Remember a cheap greasy burger. Fond memories. Sadly it did not live up to my memories. Average food and not so cheap. No need to go back for another 25 years.

Hands down the best burger of any place!!! The food is southern home cooking. The fried chicken is a local favorite. Fresh cooked food until the run out. The server Judy is one of the best servers anywhere. You will not wait for a refill when she is your server. Plus she remembers you from previous visits and pretty much... More

What to expect: courteous service, heavy congestion in the parking lot, cheap menu prices, "rustic" interior, expertly prepared biscuits, good grits, lots and lots of tables, no frilly or pretentious menu items. This place serves up the best breakfast in Oxford. What you shouldn't expect: long waiting times, snicker doodle coffees, updated decor, small portions, high prices, an extensive breakfast... More

This is an older restaurant with amazing food. It has all the vegetables, country food, burgers, fish, fries, breakfast you could ever want. The food is inexpensive and so good. The lunch plates are great as well. Try the desserts!
