I love to call in a hamburger or grilled cheese with a side of soup. Staff is friendly. Best homemade hamburger in town!

The building is old and the owner relies on local business. The place needs a good, old-fashioned cleaning! The staff wipes the tables with rags that have "God knows what" on them and the menus are nasty enough that you don't want to touch them....

This establishment was a good "start" to something that has just never happened. It IS a place of "historic" significance but I am NOT SURE a segregated hospital is the great framework in which to place an eatery....... How about let's have a COMMERCIAL KITCHEN...More

We were leaving the nearby casino last month and decided to try this place, based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were glad we did. We drove by it twice before we realized it was there, so know in advance that the outside entrance doesn't really...More

You can't beat the burgers and fries. The twice baked potato which is available on Thursdays is awesome. They have some really tasty soups as well. The wait staff is not very friendly. Overall, it is a good place to eat.

My higher rating of this, mainly lunch, local restaurant is largely because of the atmosphere. The food is just a basic lunch counter type from what I can tell. It's good and good for your money and time, but what's to write home about is...More

The deli is on the first floor of an old segregated hospital of the 1920's to 1950's that the owner is slowly restoring for historical significance. The deli itself is the old Yates Pharmacy, now owned by descendant George Yates and is furnished with the original drugstore cabinets, paraphernalia and working soda fountain of the 1920's. It is on Main Street directly across from the Count Courthouse. Alot of history, good and bad, and some of national importance has passed by this place.
