Butch and Anna could not have been more helpful, honest, and just downright good people to work with for our daughter's wedding reception. Our guests raved about the food, but I was more impressed with their genuineness in providing quality service at a fair price. May we suggest the homemade ice cream with fried brownies for your next event?! Thanks... More

My wife and son and two friends came for a late dinner. The place was packed, but we got seated in under 15 minutes. Catfish is awesome, and hush puppies are sweet perfection. Unfortunately, they cook in peanut oil, so my allergic son was restricted to salad and cobbler. Service was fast, friendly, and helpful. It's got a kinda of... More

The best food, the best scene. Live music, boy, brown paper bags on the floor. This place is absolute worth a trip let alone a detour.

They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait. I got there at almost 8:30 and being solo I got the last table in the back. The guitar player was great! Catfish was fantastic and top notch people watching.

This was my first trip to this restaurant that I had heard about since my son enrolled in Ole Miss in the fall. This is not a place you just happen to be driving by and think maybe I will stop in. It is well off the beaten path and in the middle of good old country living. You have... More

I had heard about how great the catfish were here. Everything I heard was right. BUT the veggies also were also great. The baked beans and fried okra were out of this world. Made from scratch or at least tasted as if they were. The service was great too as was the setting. A great place to eat and just... More

Taylor Grocery almost looks closed from the outside. But once in, the ambience, food and entertainment are first class. They are known for their catfish but i ordered the rib-eye steak and it was perfectly cooked and tender. The owners were there and couldn't have been more gracious. We were lucky enough to have a local band playing at the... More

Catfish heaven. Quirky, down home atmosphere. Live entertainment. A 15-minute drive from Oxford, MS. Highly recommended.

visit Oxford regularly but this was my first visit to Taylor Grocery. I had the catfish and my wife had the gumbo. Both were excellent and we will be back soon!

It's a regular stop for locals and visitors alike. The Hewletts are top-notch hosts, and there's regular entertainment that's worth paying for. The catfish fillets are No. 1 and get however much you think you can hold. Steaks a solid, and there are good options for the little ones. It might not look like much from the outside, but you'll...
